[A small bag of supplies in hand, it was supposed to be a peaceful walk from the marketplace to his choice of residential area for Hubert. He never expected to see a body falling from the sky as he looked up.

Yet, given his luck (or the lack thereof), he does.

He barely has the time to even let out a proper "ahh -- " before he drops the bag, rushes two steps forward, and extends both his arms to catch the falling person.]

[It's some pretty ungraceful flailing to get her bearings before she realizes she could break an arm that way if she landed during aforementioned flailing-

And that's probably the only thing that spares Hubert from a slap in the face when he catches her.

Tentatively looking up because she's only been in this situation twice now and she's still not used to it.]

[He crouches with the catch to lessen the impact. It helps significantly, though that doesn't stop his shoulders from aching regardless.

Inhaling then exhaling deeply to even out his breathing, he turns his head to look Saya in the eyes.]
