[Kojūrō had been walking along--once more continuing his efforts to learn more about this strange place when he heard the crying. From quite nearby. Normally he isn't one to pry, it was none of his concern, and yet his steps alter only slightly in that direction.

When he steps around the corner quietly, he isn't all that far from the young woman. Politely, he'll turn his eyes to the buildings around them as he retrieves a small folded white cloth from a pocket. Cloth held within reach, he gently clears his throat while his eyes remain politely averted--what happened next would be up to her of course. This was a simple courtesy, and if she wanted privacy he was not one to invade it.]

[ she perks up a bit at the sound (since she hadn't really noticed anyone), but accepts the tissue without another thought. Silently, she bring it up to the corner of her eye. ]

Ah... th-thank you so much, Mister.

[He'll nod at her thanks and turn his head just enough to glance to her--she didn't seem to be crying as much for the moment. But... 'mister'... Well. There was no harm.]

Katakura is fine, miss...? [This felt somewhat awkward. But somehow he felt she could use...some company, even if it was likely his was not the best to be had in this place.]

Rapunzel. [ She musters what she can of a smile to Kojūrō, before refocusing on cleaning her face. ]

Sorry... normally I'm a bit more c-cheerful than this..!

[Here is Haruhi on the way home, carrying a singular semi-small brown bag. Just passing by when... oh, there's a girl and she's crying. Can't very well just pass her by, so, just going to approach her gingerly...]

[ Rapunzel lifts her head, pathetically attempting to fake her usual cheerful demeanor. ]

[ Eruka was coming back from shopping, a paper sack in her arms, when she saw the girl on the shop step, crying. The witch hesitated, telling herself that she should continue walking, but her steps slowed. ]

[ Rapunzel peeks in between her fingers, before running her hands through the top of her golden hair, hoping it would help her cheer up a bit. It doesn't. ]

Ah... sorry, did you need the shop..?

[ give her a moment, she's not used to doing this ]

[ She looks back down to her chameleon, frowning. ]

No, not really. But... [ Rapunzel is quiet briefly, before looking back up, and attempting to smile at Eruka. ]

[When Effy sees Rapunzel upset, she's a bit ... surprised. The only interaction she'd gotten with her was a long while ago, and even then, she seemed very happy.

So she walks over to Rapunzel with great sympathy. When she speaks up, her voice is soft, as if to try and comfort her.]

Miss Effy...

[ She doesn't want to impose on Effy--or on anyone. She doesn't want them to be upset with her, because making people feel bad is a no-go in her book.

She tries at a smile. ]

[ She frowns, bringing her knees up to her chest. ]

[Have a small dog peering curiously, it's not common he finds a pretty girl crying by herself while out walking!

He softly whines out to her.]

Aw man, she's even making the poor dog feel bad.

Rapunzel extends an arm, patting him on his head. ]

It's all right... [ A pause and a nod. ] It'll... It'll be all right.

[A brief wag at the pat, not seeming to mind it. He's met friendly people here so he's becoming at least a more comfortable canine than he had been a few days ago.

He blinks up at her as she talks, nudging his muzzle against her hand gently as though to offer comfort.]

[ She smiles a bit at him. Aw, good dog. ]
