Medusa isn't dressed in her usual black dress and lab coat. She's wearing what she considers to be her real clothing, walking purposefully through the forest. She isn't exactly concerned about passerby seeing her, but she also isn't looking to

Although having Sakura show her around was fine, Rider would also like to take the time to explore the area herself. After all, she didn't want to burden her Master by having her constantly explaining what was what and where things were and just helping her adjust in general.

After Sakura had settled down for the evening, the Servant excused herself and slipped out of the apartment. Most of the other foreigners also seemed to be turning in for the evening, leaving the streets almost completely empty. Growing bored of the plaza area, Rider decided instead to take a closer look around the forest.

Upon seeing the strange woman summoning the snakes from the tattoos on her arms, Rider pauses in order to observe. Are the woman's actions strange? Not really. Rider has seen and done things far weirder.

Oh hey, Medusa, this is Medusa. :D

Medusa senses a presence nearby, but it isn't anyone she recognizes. She doesn't turn to address the individual immediately.

Nice to meet you, Medusa!

Rider continues watching her quietly from the shadows, unaware that the other woman knows that she's not alone. She knows it's rude to stare, but at the same time, it's interesting to see what kind of magic the other foreigners are able to perform.

[She watches her snakes for another moment or two before speaking.]

Do you have a question?

[Well, that daily walk from the lake just turned interesting. Here is a.Nobody, coat slung over a shoulder and a guitar case in hand seemingly frozen in shock. Did....Did snakes just come out of her arms? What in Light's name...?]

[She looks at him.]

[He just points at the snakes.]

They're snakes. I assume you've seen one before.

it was no secret that Medusa was in the city; Stein had managed to tell most of the students that had come to Vatheon, and those he hadn't could just scroll through the address book and find her name. but he'd told the students only on the warning that she hadn't moved against them, that she wouldn't.

nothing screamed "I'm moving against you" like the loss of a Soul Protect. What the hell are you doing?

he's not sure exactly in the forest where she was, but it's short work to find her - after all, a powerful soul like that, and the taste of magic is nothing to a Meister of Stein's caliber.

he notices the snakes, and hangs back in the trees.]

[She hears him and smiles, but doesn't turn to look at him.]

Stein. I thought you'd come.

YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT.

[he doesn't care.]

I would think that's fairly obvious.

Patti was no meister, but the forest was one of the areas Patti had yet to explore. So taking nothing but a small bag filled with just a few things to eat and leaving a note to her housemates as to where she would be, Patti sets out to go check out the forest for herself. Who knows, maybe she'll find some things to bring back and show her sister.

As she slips deeper into the forest, she hears a faint voice and her curiosity gets the better of her. But Patti was not discreet about it, crunching twigs and leaves underfoot as she makes a poor attempt to sneak closer.

Medusa senses a soul and her eyes narrow. One of the young reaper's weapons. Did that mean Death the Kid would be there soon as well? She couldn't be sure.

Nope, no Kid. This time it's just Patti noisily making her way through the forest. She makes her way across the forest path, and then attempts to stealthily hide behind a tree.

As soon as she sees Medusa, some of those cautious feelings fade. Oh, it was the witch who was helping them reach Arachne's stronghold! Although wasn't she in the body of a little girl the last time they met? Oh well, minor details.

Patti, you lying liar, he just tried to kick me in the faaaaace

Medusa's paranoia professional caution is still in full play, and she prepares for a fight as she turns to face her visitor.

Riku had been hanging out in the forest more often than usual, using the unnatural darkness that seeped into the very soil to his advantage and hide his own use. Even with the hood up, it would be impossible to disguise his attacks otherwise-

...That overwhelming presence. How did it get so close without him realizing?

Quietly, he dismissed the blade - that was a dumb move..., something in the back of his mind said as he made his way through the forest almost silently. Then there was... Wasn't that the person he'd run into in the lower district last month? And... Okay, peeking from behind the blindfold.

How in the worlds could this person summon snakes from tattoos?

Medusa felt a familiar wavelength nearby and focused on it. The young man who she'd suspected had been following her. She kept on her guard, unsure if he would make a foolish attempt to attack her.

[Yeah, he wasn't going to try and attack. He was far too interested in the snakes. Was this part of a witch's power? What else could she do with magic? It's always these sorts of questions with others from different worlds for him, but still. He keeps his guard up, in case she'd attack.

The hood probably wouldn't help hide him now, so he's lowering it. So unstable...]

[She relaxes a little.]

They aren't exactly pets, but thank you. I take great pride in these two.
