...because it keeps his mind off of things he would rather not think about. And try not to mind the large parrot following him around. Squawk.

But he does pause when he sees Akito having a picnic and...

...well okay. He wanders over, bag of flower petals in hand. Quests are so odd.

[...Oh, hello giant bird. Akito is just going to ... stare for a moment, mouth holding a piece of a sandwich and therefore unavailable for speaking or smiling in acknowledgment, and hands busy finishing up a spell to kill one last monster--

So he just sort of shrugs, because he's still not exactly sure how he feels about all of this. Sure, it's fun, but it's also mildly scary, and their A-T have been taken away so there's the constant, niggling worry that they won't get them back...]

[Having finished killing monsters, Akito takes the sandwich out of his mouth so that he can actually respond.]

Un! Yeah.

[He seems pretty happy with the toy now, as opposed to entirely freaked out by it. He treats it more like a child would treat their favourite doll at this point - carrying it around and holding it close.]

Kupo-kun is really cool. [A pause--] Why does Minato-san have a parrot?
