After his stay in Nodoka's apartment, Inuyasha was feeling well enough to wander around the place a bit more. After that one guy's message, it was obvious that Sesshoumaru was around, but Inuyasha was confident that he could still take the bastard on even in his present condition.

Wandering aimlessly, Inuyasha finlly came upon what looked like a giant rock-like plant. "This must be the coral the others were talking about..." He was approaching it when he realized that he wasn't alone. The strange demons had gathered there as well, and seemed to be attacking...

With a growl, Inuyasha leapt over, drawing his sword. "Get off of her!" With a slash, his sword passed over the girl, knocking the demons off while making sure not to harm her.

Huh? Touka managed to raise her head and look up. Was that -- was that Sesshoumaru-sama? But no. He looked different.

"Tha -- Thank you very much," she said, trying to remember her manners. That had been close. Way too close. "Really."

Ignoring her thanks, Inuyasha stood in front of her, between the girl and the other demons that he hadn't killed yet.

"Can you stand?"

"Um......" was Touka's eloquent reply. That was a good question, actually. She managed to raise herself into a sitting position. She tried to stand from there, but was so exhausted that she fell back down again.

"I guess not?"

[failpriest]

"Miss!"

The call comes from ever-so-slightly in the distance - close enough to be heard over the sounds of Noise closing in on the girl's prone form. A particularly good ear might catch the click of a safety coming off a pistol, followed by a round going in the chamber, and two consecutive shots.

The strange creatures give a squawk, effectively deterred from further attacking what they'd deemed prey, scurrying off into the distance by the warning shots.

A moment later, the tall, lanky priest is crouching down beside Touka, a look of concern on his face as he gently lays a hand on her shoulder, free digits holding the still-smoking percussion revolver.

"Are you alright...? Here, let me help you up. Those things are pretty ruthless...!"

"Thank you -- thank you so much," Touka says to the man. She winces as he helps her up into a sitting position. "That was really close," she says, half to herself.

[failpriest]

"Were you hurt?"

The pistol is returned to its holster at his back and under his coat, the look of concern not leaving his face as she winces. "It's dangerous to travel out here alone, it seems..."

Touka shakes her head. "No, I'm fine, thank you," she replies.

She half-smiles at his next comment. "Yeah, usually I'm pretty good at taking care of myself, but I haven't been feeling well lately......"

[hungryvigilante]

"Meow, that girl's in danger! Don't worry, Tao will save you!"

From seemingly out of nowhere, a flash of light appears as Taokaka rushes in and slashes at some of the noise with the claws usually concealed inside her jacket out in the open. She knocks another one into the air with an uppercut, then leaps up towards it and slices it at with more claws, this time hiding in her boots. The noise disintegrates, and Taokaka safely lands on the ground, looking a little bit drained but still acting pretty hyper.

"These are the same weird things that were attacking rabbit girl, meow!" Taokaka turns around and looks at Touka. After staring for a second or two, Tao notices the piece of hair poking up and decides on a nickname for Touka. "Are you all right, cowlick girl?"

Touka manages to sit up groggily, in time to see a -- cat girl?-- with some pretty awesome fighting skills.

"Thank you so much," she says as the girl takes care of the monsters. She registers what the girl said. "Who's rabbit girl and -- COWLICK GIRL? Are you serious?" She pats her hair self-consciously.

[hungryvigilante]

"Yup, cowlick girl!" Taokaka nods to herself, very proud of her wonderful naming skills.

"Meow, rabbit girl is the tiny blond person who wears ribbons that make her looks like she has rabbit ears! (Known to more rational people as Rachel)" Taokaka puts her big poofy jacket sleeves up next to her hood's ears to demonstrate. "She was fighting these weird monsters too, so Tao stepped in to help her out! But I almost got eaten by a shark that jumped out of the ground... Meow, there aren't any of those around here, right?" Taokaka scans the are for shark fins nervously.

"O----kay," Touka replies. She wasn't exactly thrilled with the nickname, but whatever. The girl had just saved her life and all, after all. "Should I call you Tao-san?"

"Oh, okay, I think I met her." Not that the girl had given her name or anything. A bit rude, that one, really. Touka glances over at the girl. "You seem to be quite the fighter."

Touka looks around. "No, I don't see any sharks. WHAT is it with the sea-creatures around here, though? Don't they need to be in water?"

I THINK NOW IS AN EXCELLENT TIME TO ENACT THIS. Ao's gone; he needs his supply :|;

[ And suddenly, from the shadows, reveling in the chaos, none other than a fox bastard... followed by some fox noise. They're avoiding him because, apparently, they are kin: kitsune, mischievous foxes. But the question is, which one is truly the 'monster'?

... Well, I think we all know the answer. Enjin laughs. If they aren't attacking him, though, it's more than likely because of the Satori abilities, though. ]

Yo~ Oni-girl. Aren't these little guys cute? Beats boring humans, that's for sure...

[Oh, no. Oh no, oh no, oh no. NOT NOW. Touka closes her eyes and groans. Even if she could make it to the coral -- she wouldn't be able to get enough stamina back to defend herself properly. She'd just be giving him more power to take from her. But like this --- she was totally defenseless. Godamnit. Maybe he'll just go away? She mutters the next part.]

You would think they're cute.

[ Ohohohohoho, not a bad idea, Touka. Thanks for giving it to him with your mind actually, though he'd been planning it from the start. ]

Aw, how cold. Is that any way to greet an old friend~? I think you guys just need to get better acquainted.

[ And as if on cue, he disappears and the noise seem to focus more on her. All foxes, of varying types. Unsurprising, honestly. But where has he gone? ... Behind her, actually. Distractions are useful like that. ]

You're definitely not what I would call a friend. You are pretty old, though.

[She manages to get that bit off before all the foxes appear. Oh, great. She closes her eyes. Certainly not the way she would have wanted to die, buy hey --- she wonders what happens when you die in this world. Do you still go to the Otherworld? Would she go back to her own world? Either way, a little closer to seeing Onii-chan and Hime-chan again. But she'd be leaving Akina-san...]

[ Sesshoumaru, despite feeling fatigued due to the effects of the coral, swooped down on Touka and cut down the monsters that dared attack her with his Tokijin. He scanned the area quickly before glancing down at Rin's surrogate with a slightly softer look. He wasn't going to ask her if she could stand or not; he merely replaced his sword and picked her up with his one arm, flying away from the scene quickly.

No monsters mess with Sesshoumaru's adopted kiddos 8| ]

[Touka looked up to see Sesshoumaru-sama fighting the monsters. He picked her up and she just leaned against him quietly as they flew through the air. It was almost like having Onii-chan back.]

[ Sesshoumaru pauses in the air, glancing around, before he moves to a place where he knows there are no creatures, depositing Touka carefully. ]

[She immediately sits down and puts her head in her hands, as she's too tired to support herself for very long.]
