... I guess you could say it's like we were bought from a toystore? Someone wanted to play with us and here we are.
[How he came up with that metaphor was from an encounter with a certain mad clown, but... well, just digest the concept of being randomly abducted, for a bit.]
[She slowly blinks at him for a moment. It was still hard to believe, but considering how she, and supposedly, him and the others, were brought here...]
Alright. Kidnap sounds...feasible.
[This whole situation is making her kind of speechless]
But then, how? And, this place, who would've thought it was even possible.
[ Kanji looks at her, then at the oar she was carrying, thinks to himself "WTF?" and then shrugs. He's seen worse in this place. ]
Uh, hey. [ He turns to face her fully. ] Where this is? [ ... ] Oh, I get it. You're new here, aren't you? Well -
[ He gets ready to explain. ] - 's called Vatheon. It's an underwater city, and basically, we're all kidnapped and forced to live here. Enjoy the vacation. [ He rolls his eyes at that last remark of his. ]
[Good thing it's one of the tamer things around here!]
In a way, yes, I am new to this area.
[She listens carefully, and even though on an average day, whatever he said would be hard to believe, today is not it.]
An underwater city, who would've known. I suppose it is not a vacation without trouble. [She sighs] What are our kidnapper's motives, and what exactly are we meant to do?
[ She's taking this rather calmly. Good thing too. When he arrived, he freaked out. ]
Dunno. Nobody does. The locals might know somethin' but good luck gettin' them to talk. They won't say a damn word about what happened to us.
As for what we're meant to do? Apparently, this place sucks some of our energy to power the barrier that keeps all the water out. But we don't need to do anythin' for it, we just gotta stay in here. That's it.
[ He's still pretty annoyed, but he's making the most of it. ]
[Mostly she's not letting herself, as part of her hopes there's an exit, but if this is a kidnap, then it won't be easy to find, and from his response, that is confirmed.]
Hmm, sounds almost like they're all in on it.
W-what? It's draining us? Won't this kill us? [Okay now she might be looking rather uneasy.]
[She takes a look at the towel before she accepts it, looking very grateful.]
Thank you very much. [She starts to dry her hair when she notices that he is looking at her oar.]
I like to carry it around. If I'm not using it to row, then I use it to carry things. [And to hit people with it, but that's not really something to mention yet...]

You wont wake him up upon first try though.]

[Even though it's rude to interrupt one's sleep, this was an emergency here! So here comes attempt one.]
Ah, excuse me. [Vietnam's crouching next to him, trying not to be too loud, but not too soft so that he'll just keep on sleeping.]

Care to try again?]

[And so he gestures to point to the seawater above. Unfortunately, follow up questions might not be as easy to answer.]

...So, I didn't hit my head that hard.
H-how did...exactly what is going on?

This city's called Vatheon. I'm guessing you're new.
[ Hoboy. Another one. A towel is offered to the young lady while Luka slightly raises an eyebrow at the oar... kinda. ]

I guess I'll have to be the one to break it to you. See, this city likes pulling people in... and trapping us here.
No one can actually say if we get out... or when.
[ And there seems to be a touch of hurt to those words. This city's hardly done him a good turn. ]

Ah, I fear I do not understand. This is a kidnap, of sorts?
[Though confused, she did pick up a hint of pain in his tone. She will have to go about this delicately.]

Vatheon. Bubble under the sea. What's with the damn oar?
Reply
This? [She holds up her oar] If I'm not using it to row, then it's great for carrying things with. [And hitting people, it's a pretty hardy oar!]
Reply
[She snorts.] Oar's not gonna do you any damn good down here, unless you're gonna try to row your ass out.

[She pretends to consider that.] It's a possibility...aha no, but it was with me before I got here, and I suppose I can use it to bludgeon instead.
