Well, that was a first. Axel had yet to see anyone show up packing, let alone ranting and raving like a madman. Scratching his head, he decided--perhaps against his better judgment--to get a closer look. Approaching the frantic man with both hands lifted, that universal signal for 'I'm unarmed, I come in peace', he tried to look the man in the eye.
"Easy there, stranger," he said, clicking his tongue. "No need to shout; people around here have pretty good hearing so far as I've discerned." He made a waving motion with his fingers. "You can put the giant guns down, I don't think anybody's gonna attack you in broad daylight in the middle of the plaza."
Ellis jumped at the sound of Axel's voice speaking to him, and he turned to fact the man, his mouth open to speak, but at the sight of him, he remained staring for a few awkward moments with his mouth still open.
"S-sorry, I di'in mean t'yell, I... I just don't know where I am."
Ellis looked thoroughly startled at Axel's suggestion to put down his gun. "I... No, I can't do that, what if we alert a horde or somethin'?"
"That's pretty normal," he assured the man with half a grin; "it's a little disorienting, waking up soaking wet in the middle of town square." He rubbed the crown of his head and went on, "This place is called Vatheon."
He supposed they could get into the nitty-gritty of the actual where if it actually came up.
Then he lifted one eyebrow. "Horde?" Axel tilted his head. "Horde of what?"
"V-...Vatheon?" asked Ellis, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "I ain't ever heard of this place- then again... I di'in really pay much attention to geometry in school."
"D'ya happen t'know how I got here?" he asked, all the while his eyes were flicking to places all around Axel, but hardly ever on Axel himself. There was just so much to see, but he didn't wanna look away properly because, well, that would be rude. Instead, he was just coming off creepy with the way his eyes were moving all around.
"And man, where've ya been? Horde o' zombies!" He was now looking act Axel with an incredulous expression. "S'what I got these for," he patted his uzi affectionately.

After the "Grand" breakfast she made a few days ago, Tiana was still found around the Plaza, browsing and finishing up the food shopping she could atleast try to carry by herself back to her apartment. Although it didn't help but to make a note later onto never do something that risky again for information again. She stops in tracks-- slowing down actually when she sees a young gentleman obviously drenched from the underwater city's atmosphere.
She wasn't sure why the rest of his outfit had that tinge of red but the fact he was stammering, beckoned her to make her ways over him, cautiously tapping his shoulder. "Ya' alright there, sug'?"
Ellis' first thoughts when he turned around was that, holy shit it was Rochelle, he'd found her! He wasn't alone no more! But then he realized it was most definitely not Rochelle. For one, she wasn't holding guns or wearing her Depeche Mode. Also there was the fact they looked waaay different. So clearly the Tiana-to-Rochelle mixup was embarrassing.
His second thoughts were 'holy shit, it's a girl and she's real purtty'. And also she was from the south! That was exciting.
"W-wh- Yeah, I'm fine," he said, completely and totally unsure what to say. This was the first time he'd met a girl other than Rochelle without the imminent thread of being killed by zombies. "Hi..."
OMFG. I was totes waiting for someone to make that comparison XDDDD /day made.idontkissfrogsMay 24 2011, 01:20:18 UTC
"Hey there, Ah take it ya' new 'round as well?" She smiles knowingly and re-adjusts the hold she's had on her grocery bag, now finally noticing that Ellis was armed and carrying weapons. There was a saying she remembered her mom telling her but she couldn't exactly remember right on the spot but she was gonna handle this with caution.
Well... with some. "What's all this for?" she asked, straight forward while gesturing his firearms.
bwahaha! I just couldn't not make it x3idk_mybffkeithMay 24 2011, 01:26:05 UTC
"Y-yeah, I'm def'nately new here," Ellis replied hesitantly. During a zombie apocalypse, you couldn't afford to be shy and mess around. But considering there was apparently no zombies around, he was now feeling all confidence he might've had around Zoey vanish. Oh hell.
"Wh- Oh," he started, before realizing she meant his guns. "Uh, these're for the zombies. I kinda fight'em all the time, so gotta be prepared, y'know?"
It was then that he realized she was holding groceries, and what kind of gentleman would he be if he didn't help a lady out?! "W-would'ja like me t'carry those for ya?"
