[Eridan was actually out and about despite his usual reclusive behavior--he had been taking Feferi's advice and had been going out more regularly--he approaches the plaza, more so using it as a cut through to get somewhere else when... Someone in the fountain catches his eye. He couldn't believe it at first, staring and gawking at her for a few moments. Even rubbing at his eyes underneath his glasses and staring again.]

[It's then when his stomach tightens and he feels the sudden urge to run--abscond--flee! And so he does, finding a hiding place behind a lamppost. Okay maybe this wasn't the best of hiding places with all things considered like that gaudy cape, but it worked!]

[He fumbles with his SFC to send her a text, because oh my god he cannot face her.]

[And Eridan would more than likely be up for antagonizing her like he did all the others, had there not been a certain series of events that happened that resulting in him murdering her and then Karkat making him realize the extent of it. He wasn't a monster, not completely--he felt remorse after all. And it was playing a good part in how he was acting right now.]

Don't get used to it, Kan. Like I said, I just owe ya.

[It was odd, having to deal with Kanaya, knowing he was the one who took her life. Odd to see her, much like it was to see Fef, alive, talking, happy, just like before that argument went out of control. Just like before, like it had never fucking happened--and to Kanaya and Feferi, it hadn't, which was probably a blessing if Eridan ever did know one.]

Well, I know there's a good amount in the Larmline... I know Kar, Ter, Taw, Sol, and Nep liwe there, currently. Where the others are, I'm not too sure. Well, other than fuckin' Eq, I know where he is. As for... The amount a buildin's...

[No more than any of the trolls were monsters. But then several of them were already killers. And they had the cultural construct of moirail in part to try preventing such things happening unnecessarily often.]

Of course, I won't forget.

That is a good-sized grouping then, nearly half of us.

[Kanaya is capably translating that much, at least. But that's fine. She had already deliberately opted for only the miniature tour. Trying to find unfamiliar locations would require wandering as much as the full tour would have.]

[He gives her a bored look before he continues on his way.]

Yeah, I guess they decided it'd be better to liwe so far up each others nooks or somethin'. Personally, I'd be irritated with so many idiots close by...

[Which was a lie, part of the reason he convinced Equius to move in with him was out of loneliness, but it's not like that really even matters.]

[He continues though, silently towards the Larmline hiwestem, Kanaya was a meddler and with all of them being in such close quarters, he figured she'd probably prefer this over the rest--so showing this to her first was an obvious choice. It wasn't far really, so even if the walk may have fallen to silence, it wasn't terribly long enough to become too awkward. Even if Eridan was already feeling that much.]

[Kanaya is not very good at letting other people have the last word. But if Eridan didn't reply, an uncomfortable yet brief silence could easily fall.]

Perhaps they remained nostalgic for the crowded cohabitation forced upon us in the veil. Certainly some of us would prefer to retain independent living quarters, but I am not surprised by Tavros or Nepeta wanting company.

[When their walk leads to the Larmline, Kanaya stares up at the six story building with some surprise]

Venturing inside, if neither of us knows the structure's interior, carries the risk of wandering into someone's hive... Perhaps it would be better if I seek to visit one of them in the near future, and observe the interior at that time.

[It's very tall, and rather sterile-looking. Whites and blacks and tall sleek lines. For the troll in the forge with banners of fabric everywhere, it's bland at the moment... but perhaps with some added soft colors? And how best to do so with the outside of the building

[Eridan rolls his eyes at that.]

As if anyone could be nostalgic a that. If this bubble is good for anythin', it's the fact we aren't up each others nook like we once were.

[He glances at her once in front of the building. It was impressive if in size alone, but as far as being something colorful--yeah it was far from such.]

Well, I'we been inside before. Been to Sol's. If you'd like, we could go to his hiwe? I'll kick the door down if I must.

[Hey, he was his kismesis after all, it was basically within his right to do so.]

[Again with agreeing to disagree. It was nice interacting with everyone in person for a change.

And by the way, Eridan, Kanaya is the meddlesome, eternal auspistice, right? She's going to be eying you after that remark, and seeing if your caliginous irritability is actually being returned... is actually great motivation for going into this apartment building. And she can make sure to be on hand to apologize to Sollux if this is one-sided after all.]

If you think checking into his apartment will cause no undue trouble, I like the idea. Let's avoid breaking his door however.

[If we're doing this and making this happen, we should get Sollux!mun's permission before breaking any of his things... Like his door. And that way Sollux has the option of being home. :D]

[Kanaya knows how to handle Eridan better than most people, she also probably knows he just blows a lot of hot air out of his blow hole and if left alone, he won't be as antagonizing as usual. Smart girl.]

Checking his apartment won't be a issue. Really, he can just deal with it.

[And with that he's heading into the building and making his way up those flights of stairs to his hateboyfran's place. He's just gonna kinda forcibly knock on the door obnoxiously loud.]

Sol, are you home? Open the fuckin' door or I'll kick it down!

[It is after all one of the similarities between Eridan and Karkat; their lives just don't seem to be complete if they're not complaining about everyone else. Kanaya is pretty familiar with letting people run their mouths in order to feel content.

And of course the matter turns immediately to threats of property damage. Kanaya really hopes this caliginous relationship is consensual. She'll just be over here to the side, reminding herself to go along with it for now.]

[Sollux was in the middle of playing video games when his hateboyfriend had knocked on the door. He sighs irritably and pauses the game before getting up and unlocking the door. He opens it and frowns.]

[Guess who's pushing you out of the way so he can just walk on in, even open up the path for Kanaya so she can have a look around.]

I wanted to show Kan your place, so she has a good idea on this hiwerstem's layout, so fuckin' deal with it mustard-blood.

[Okay, yeah, Kanaya isn't going to just barge into an occupied home. She instead turns to Sollux, attempting to smile apologetically.]

I was hoping to see a variety of the hivestems, and preferably at least one hive in each of them... Eridan insisted that this would be fine.

[She gives a sidelong glance at Eridan to convey her lingering doubts on the matter. Kanaya will wait for Sollux's permission before actually entering. And as much as she'd like to see the layout, it's the interaction between them that she wants to observe right now.]
