After Riku I guess ^^;shounenphelpsMay 8 2011, 19:06:19 UTC
Shin was out looking for his armor orb. It was very important to him, and he can't believe he'd misplaced it, so he was retracing his steps all over Vatheon before officially declaring it lost.
He passed near enough to the forest to hear the racket coming from there. It sounded like collateral damage from combat and furious shouts, although only one voice, so maybe it wasn't really a fight... Still, it worried Shin enough to send him running in that direction.
Instinctively, he ducked into a roll as one spell came near him, then looked up at who was in the newly-made clearing with concern in his eyes. "Forgive me for prying, but what are you doing?"
Not my preference, but hey w/e works for you & yours ^-~shounenphelpsMay 10 2011, 20:54:31 UTC
"Ah, although some of them were..." He eyed a particularly unfortunate tree and the bush next to it.
"I suppose you've tried talking things out with your friends and this is a last resort?" He sounded concerned, mainly - two of his best friends were incredibly hot-tempered and he knew how bad they could get when it came to venting their frustrations.
Ah, so that's what foot tastes like. Shin winced visibly at the young man's comment, and stood up. "I'm very sorry to hear that." He then specifically switched to his British English. "I wish it were under better circumstances, but-" He extended his right hand forward, still with a sobered look on his face. "I'm Shin Mouri."
"Likewise." After they shake, he extended his hand to the side. "I doubt I can do much if you need to sort yourself out like this, but..." Ah, wrong, Japanese grammar slipping in there. He tried to lighten the mood a little. "Maybe you'd rather hang about, do something to take your mind off everything?"
"Well, if you still need some physical exertion to improve your mood..." He brightened a little. "How about some swimming? I like the lake, myself, but we can go to the indoor pool at Larmline."
He got a little mischevious look in his eyes. If he was anything like Shuu, this should work just fine.
Shin reached out to lightly bop Sirius on the shoulder. "Come on, I'll race you there!"
With that, Shin took off running - not too fast, though, because the whole point was for them to run together after all. It'd be meaningless for Shin to sprint ahead just because being a Trooper made him capable of that.
Sirius had always liked to swim, and the thought of doing something, anything other than blow things up, was starting to sound more appealing as he calmed down.
When Shin bopped him and challenged him to a race, Sirius could have sworn he saw James for just a second, but he dismissed the image and gave a smile.
Just to be a little silly, Shin even did a round-off in the middle of his running before landing on his feet and running some more. That left him behind Sirius a bit, but he caught up soon enough. He kept up the pace all the way to Larmline, then leaned against the gate to catch his breath.
He ended up just laughing, though. "What a romp that was!" He hadn't exerted himself like that since a few days before he'd arrived.
"Don't mention it," Shin responded instantly. "Now just think of the swimming bit!"
He opened the gate and led Sirius in. "I'll give you a pair of trunks to take - they were one of the first things I looked for here!" With Feferi around, he was enjoying swimming with someone else immensely. He'd never beet her in a race, though, so having Sirius to challenge was great.
"It's an indoor pool!" Shin assured him, "so it's always a nice lukewarm temperature." As they walked into the entryway, Shin gestured down the hall. "The pool's down there if you'd care to wait, or you can follow along to my place."
He started walking off to the stairwell, not fast enough that Sirius couldn't make a decision before he disappeared behind a wall.

"If I could talk to my friends, this wouldn't be an issue."
He knew he probably wasn't making any sense.
"This place has seen to it that talking to them becomes extremely difficult."

"...Maybe...I suppose it wouldn't hurt. I could always come back here if it doesn't work."

"That was actually pretty fun...thanks."
He hadn't run around as a human for a while, it had felt nice to just let himself go a bit.

Feeling a little better already, a smirk played across his face. "I hope the water's not too cold. Although, it sucks to race in warm water too."
