Characters: Katsu and Naoya. (Also Matthew the stalker.) Location: In the park. Time: Mid-day. (Forward dated a bit.) Style: Either! Status: Closed. Note: Thar be DeSu spoilers here.
[ ... The truth of the matter was, Naoya had no desire to be around his 'brother' (he's not Abel, he's a fragment of a fragment who did nothing but betray me--), and sought only to be left alone. Actively avoiding him had been difficult thusfar, but he'd done fairly well.
He hadn't been using any magic, but one as old as he was... well. No matter how good you are at hiding or becoming lost, with a soul as distinct as his and the mark placed upon it, it wouldn't be hard for a Messiah with those powers to find him, even if he tried to suppress his own aura.
He was, after all, only human, despite his long, long history, in the end. And thus, when experience told him something he did not want near him in the least was approaching, he quickly began to attempt to move off in another direction and lose the boy. But the city is small and a trap. There aren't many places to run, after all, in Vatheon. ]
[He knows Naoya is running, and briefly he considers leaving him alone, but he shakes that idea off. If he doesn't talk to him now it might be a long time until he can again, after all. He increases his pace, following behind him.]
[Come back to me, brother. I just want to talk to you..]
[ ... He has no desire to really turn to face the boy, despite it. Naive, stupid, such a foolish child. He should have listened; should've trusted him more--
But he can't avoid him forever. This pathway goes toward a slope to an overhang above some rooftops. There really isn't very far to go either; the other direction leads toward the Church.
... He hadn't planned on even speaking to the boy again, but fate seemed to have other ideas. Or perhaps simply his cousin did. Either way, he wouldn't show weakness here. He was quick to be as composed as possible, bandaged hand hidden away into his haori.
[He's not surprised that Naoya wanted to head away from the church. He keeps going, speeding up a little more until he spots Naoya. He then slows, getting his breath back before stepping forward.]
