THE DERP ARRIVES prominence_glow April 30 2011, 11:53:35 UTC
Lea had been a bit confused when he'd gotten the text. Sure, he remembered Ami and her little date thing, so he understood what it meant. But the thing is- he'd never signed himself up.

Raravis? Yeah. Stein? Double yeah. But him? Nope. So who the hell signed him up?

But Lea's a good kid at heart, so he's come right on time, hair still in its usual crazy spikes and scarf around his neck again. The only difference to his usual wardrobe is a white longsleeve and jeans. Hey, it's one casual date, he's not yanking out the suits just yet.

Waiting at a table, he taps his feet, waiting for someone to show up.

Thankfully, Gracia knew her away around Vatheon since her second arrival, so it didn't take her that long to find the place. But the woman at the desk -- she only sent her a text with the barest of details. Yes yes, it was supposed to be a surprise...but how was she going to figure out who her date was?

Luck was on her side, however. The parlor was having a slow day. There were only a few customers, and most of them came in pairs and groups. Using the process of simple elimination, her set date had to be the one sitting alone. Right?

Cautiously, though with a carefree smile, Gracia approached Lea's table. She was dressed in her usual attire, not knowing how casual or formal the whole event was; all she knew was she'd get a friend at the end of it!

"Are you the one I'm supposed to meet for the blind date?"

He's almost certain he's on the verge of remembering how he's in this situation when a voice interrupts him. Blinking, he looks up and grins almost instantly. "If we're the right date, then yeah!" Hopping up to his feet, and then onto the chair itself, he gives an extravagant bow. Sure, the chair almost pitches over, thus meaning he almost lands face first onto the floor, but it looks cool, and that's what counts.

...Well, looks ridiculously crazy, but it's all relative.

"Name's Lea! And before you ask, it's not spelled with two 'e's, but one, and a 'a'. Write it down and don't forget!"

Is that a rhetorical question? |D kagayakashi April 30 2011, 13:28:45 UTC
Wow, he made quite an introduction! Gracia's smile grows wider, and she has to admit, the guy's got some confidence. She didn't even notice the possibility of him slipping up because of it.

"I won't forget," She shakes her head amusedly and offers him a graceful bow. "It's nice to meet you. My name is Gracia." She glances over the table where he was sitting prior.

"I hope you weren't waiting too long."

...Never? prominence_glow April 30 2011, 18:41:20 UTC
"Nah! I mean, I've seen worse-" Hopping back down to the floor, he flops back into his chair. "Done worse, probably."

If he kept breaking curfew, Mom would kill him... At least Stein isn't as fussy. He's cool like that.

"What do ya want to get? The desserts are alright here- I mean, I'm always gonna say Victori's is better, but still."

She glanced over at the counter as she took her seat. There was a menu standing upright at the center of the table; taking it by its sides, Gracia skimmed through the available options and well, shrugged, still smiling. She wasn't exactly a regular here -- she preferred the main restaurant and the small cafes near the plaza -- so anything was a best bet.

"I don't know. I don't eat here often. The last time I ate here, I think I was with my father." She handed him the menu. "We could go over to that place after we eat here, if you'd like!"

They'd be killing two birds with one stone in her opinion; exploring and walking around, then eating and discovering new foods. That sounded like a great date!

Flick flick flick. Lea skips through out the menu, only partially paying attention. It can barely be called 'skimming'. But the idea of getting up and about instantly has him looking up with a grin.

"I'm game!" In fact, the urge to bounce out of his seat right then is a strong one. Lea somehow manages to keep himself under control. "But who's your dad? He's stuck here too?"

Well hey! Somebody who shares her enthusiasm for constant travel and exploration! The thought made her grin back, and at the mention of her father...Gracia's mischievous smile turned warm and affectionate.

"My father's name is Akechi Mitsuhide. He came here before I did." The menu was forgotten momentarily as she glanced about the room again. "I'll follow you out, since I don't think I've been to the place you talked about. The one with the desserts you like better." She laughed slightly.
