Motochika looked up and watched Mitsuhide's approach. His shamisen was set on the grass next to him, as was his bachi; beside the instrument sat a pad and pen.
He took the offered bottle and placed it down with his collection.
"My thanks, Mitsuhide."
Motochika's expression was serene as he patted the spot next to him, on the clear side -- it was an obvious invitation.
That was an invitation Mitsuhide would never turn down; he shifted from his spot to draw closer to Motochika and allowed himself to relax a little. The other man's mood would hopefully rub off on him.
Smile warm, he pulled his hair into his hands and looked his lover over for a moment before speaking again.
"I can offer proof that I have not gained a tangle, now."
Motochika smiled himself as he leaned in, reaching out a hand. He ran his fingers through Mitsuhide's gathered hair tenderly. It was as smooth and silky as ever.
Mitsuhide let his hair fall from his hands and down his front then. He did not immediately reply, thinking through his answer carefully before speaking up.
"I could be better," he admitted. "My body still aches a little, as you would expect after such a long period of sleep, and some of the dreams I experienced during that time won't leave my mind."
The young samurai lowered his gaze a little, though his smile did not leave his face.
"It is nothing too bad, but I think it will take a few days before I feel truly right again."

"How do you feel?" he asked a few seconds later.
This time he was serious, though not severely so.
