Needless to say, Bankotsu was having a field day. Finally! An excuse to kill and use his blade for something beyond sparring. He slid in right between Mion and the predator, bringing up Banryu's lean side to guard himself and Mion, not to mention, fend off the charge and unbalance the creatures footing.

Once he did so, he pulled himself up and held out his blade, ready for battle at the creature but noticing there was a girl sitll behind him and a dead one, he addressed his statement to her, "What are you sitting around here for?"

Why, it's none other than the beautiful Utahraptor~

Fighting off the trembling that was threatening to overwhelm her own body, Mion pulled the native woman to her feet with her good arm. Upon hearing the voice, her eyes narrowed slightly. She recognized it from a surprise phone call she had received some time ago. While wary of the flirtatious stranger, she never did get a chance to meet them face to face.

Well, until now anyway.

"Wait a sec... You're that man from the phone call."

He fell silent for a short while trying to quickly think up of all the voices he could relate to that voice but his primary concern was the creature in front of him; once he was sure to get rid of it then he maybe he could focus better.

"Look sweetheart, I'm kind of busy here. So if you don't mind." He groaned and shoved the utahraptor back again, holding it away with the flat edge of his sword before kicking it in it's windpipe so it took a few steps back to collect its breath. "Go stay put somewhere and I'll clean up your mess."

Mion frowned, not enjoying being berated like the entire situation was her fault. Still, this was no time for petty quarreling; the woman next to her was bleeding to death, and Mion had the duty to keep both of them safe.

"Don't take on more than you can handle." With that little bit of probably unneeded advise, Mion started pulling the other girl to the closest hopefully monster-free shop.

Laura's ear tweaked as she heard the first shriek upstairs from her apartment. This alone prompted her to jump out her window and climb her way atop of the building until yet there was another scream; Laura narrowed her brows and jumped from building rooftop to another before landing in front of a stumbled Mion.

She let out a low growl before retracted her claws from her knuckles and ramming it straight through the monster's shaped skull. "Pathetic creature."

Throughout the display of raw killing power, Mion's eyes widened in surprise and awe. "Amazing..." she muttered under her breath.

The young woman beside her, however, didn't seem to think so. As the rest of the color faded from her face, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fainted, still grasping Mion's arm tightly.

Laura drew a quick inhale before turning her fist and ignoring the loud snaps she made with his skull and withdrew her arm back once she was sure, the dinosaur wouldn't have a miraculous chance to get up again. She turns over just in time to see the young woman faint, almost bringing Mion down with her as she struggled to try to get her to stand up.

The girl was fatally wounded and was so close before giving up the ghost, that was much Laura knew. "Do you know her?"

Having knelt down by the fallen girl, Mion looked back up at Laura.

"I don't...but still, we have to get her to a doctor. She can still be saved, right?"

Of course, it was far safer to work together in groups, but Minato hadn't heard any of the announcements yet. He had instead been getting groceries for Junpei's planned party, but a scream was something he couldn't ignore. Head turning to look for the source, he broke out into a run, grocery bags still in his hands.

He dropped them then, however, when he skidded to a stop and stared at the large dinosaur slowly advancing on a familiar young girl.

He didn't have much time, nor did he have much of a choice. Even as the soda that had broken open spilled onto the cobblestones, Minato reached beneath the coat of his school uniform, drawing out his Evoker. Hopefully she would be too focused on the dinosaur to notice as he put the fake gun to the side of his head and fired.

A shattering sound and a the bang of a gun going off, and Surt appeared before him, casting a heavy fire spell on the dinosaur

"M..Minato!" Seeing the boy in growing danger of being jumped by the raptor, Mion quickly looked around for another weapon. The air soft pistol wouldn't do her any good against these types of monsters, but what could be more effective than a fire-wielding demon

She was clearly far too brave of a person. While normally that would be a good thing, in this case, Minato would have preferred she run this time. After all, attacking a dinosaur with a chair was almost foolhardily brave.

Minato rushed past the dinosaur, groceries forgotten, until he was beside Mion and the woman; he hardly noticed that his Evoker was still in his hand.

"Come on! Let's go, while it's stunned."

He reached instead to help the woman keep her feet as well.

"Right!" Grasping the woman's arm tightly, Mion started running to the closest building. She didn't know if the building was secure or even completely safe, but she'd rather take that chance than remain out in the open with those monsters.

When they reached the shop, Mion practically busted the door down in her hurry to get in. Once she made sure that the others were inside, she slammed the door shut and looked around.

"Quick, help me find something that we can use to block the door with. Something heavy."

[Rena had still been unaware of the carnivores arriving at Vatheon, and as such, was out at the market gathering items for a bento box she planned on making. In a little satchel with her was the Coelurosauravus that had become her pet-of-sorts, the creature poking its nose out to take in the sights.

When she heard the shriek however, Rena spun on her heel, and the Coelurosauravus hid back in the satchel. Her eyes widened at the sight of the raptor stalking toward Mion and another lady.]

No...

[This wasn't going to happen again. The cleaver was taken out of a separate pocket in the bag, and Rena walked over to the taller dinosaur, lifting the blade over her head. As long as she was quiet, she could sneak up on it...right?]

[Spotting her friend causes Mion's eyes to widen.]

R-Rena...

[The Utahraptor suddenly pauses, sniffing the air before turning its head back towards the other girl. Her stomach clenching, Mion realizes that if Rena misses and the dinosaur spots her, it will tear her apart.

Without thinking, Mion takes out the pistol strapped to her shoulder and, taking only a moment to aim, fires at the creature's face. The air-soft pellet strikes the raptor in the eye, causing it to shriek and claw blindly at its face.]

Rena! Hit it now!

[Her eyes are narrowed when she swings the cleaver down, burying the blade in the dinosaur's back. Cringing when it shrieks, she grabs for Mion's wrist. Her free hand is already yanking her weapon back.]

Mi-chan!

[Quickly pulling the other woman to her feet, Mion looks seriously at her friend.]

Rena, find someplace to hide. Don't worry, I'll be right behind you.

[regainedhope]

[Rika had been out earlier that day, and noticed all of the chaos. So, she took that opportunity to buy a butcher knife. She may not get out of an attack unharmed, but it was worth a shot. At this point, it was all a matter of being on the defense.]

[So when Rika hears screaming nearby and soon after spots Mion, she runs towards her, her knife at the ready.]

Mion! Get back!

[Oh crap, that voice. Not only does it catch Mion's attention, but also the attention of the Utahraptor.]

Rika-chan!

[Rika stares at that Utahraptor.]

If you want to fight me, come on.
