[Crap! Setting the broom to the side and walking over before tugging her back by one hand gabbing her tail.]

Whoa now, brokitty, just chill a bit.

[Effy's decided that she wants a pet in her house -- it's rather lonely by yourself, and having something to take care of besides just herself seems like a good thing to do right about now.

So yeah. This is Effy, walking into the pet shop and making a beeline towards the pen full of lovely little kittens.]

[He should probably do the employee thing and help her.

Fine. Walking over, he clears his throat.]

Need some help?

[Effy only glances at him before staring back at the kittens.]

I'd like one of them.

[[With little to do and still much of the city to see, Rose is simply wandering the streets and taking everything in. Noting the variety in shops, the architecture of buildings, and the fact Dave is sweeping the floor of a pet store.

Oh hello Dave.

Turning around, she nonchalantly strides into the store, doing her best to feign more interest in the animals than the coolkid in the apron.

[Hasn't noticed her yet! So here he is just, sweeping the fur on the floor into a pile and picking it up to throw it out. Humming even, just a tad.]

[[And she will observe him as he does so, tilting her head with interest at the light humming as she goes to poke her fingers at the kittens.]]

These ones are awfully cute. Do you happen to know their age, sir?

Then she notices a familiar figure inside the pet store. WOW. She comes in, grinning.]

Man, and here I thought you'd get a cooler job!

What. Hey. This job is plenty cool.

[She tugs on his apron, glancing at the paw prints.]
