[Matthew likes rooftops. They're useful places to hide, for people so rarely look up, and they allow a great view of everything. What he wasn't expecting was to find someone else up here.

He comes up behind, silent on trained spy's feet, and smirks.]

Speaking from experience?

There's a chance of it!

[Not going to bother turning around until she senses some malice. For now... do you realize how hard it is to get water out of a yukata? :| This was her favorite, too!]

[He comes around to sit down beside her, dangling feet over the edge of the roof.]

Well, that's interesting. Maybe I died when I wasn't expecting it, and that's why I'm in an underwater city with a glowing ball of light following me around.

Or maybe you're special.

I don't know, a sneak attack is very possible. Or you could've been hit by a car. Either way, dying isn't very pleasant, let me tell you that.

[Looking around now.]

That explains the coral and the lack of a sun. [blink blink. She wants to have an outburst right now, but she just met the guy. That wouldn't be nice.]

... jeeze, what've I gotten roped into this time?

[See, Dominic was walking by, minding his own business/worrying about Anemone when water suddenly drops onto his hair. Not that he's vain or anything, but, uh, that wasn't expected.]

What--?

[Looking up now]

[Hearing that 'what' made her look down. Oops! Leaning over now and smiling apologetically.]

Sorry! Didn't see you there!

[Wait, if she's wet, then...]

... Are you new?

Ah... this woman. When Naoya approaches her, he feels some amount of pity. Here, have a Diarahan, since he's feeling generous.

"That should at least help the initial malaise," he says absently, chuckling at her heaven and hell comment. Oh. Ohohoho. Been there, done that. Heaven isn't really heaven, and hell is where the demons live, in actuality. Earth is the real hell, but... he digresses.

"And I'd surmise that you're very much alive for the moment." Also, if you get his haori wet again there will be an Agidyne coming your way and it will SO not be to dry you off with heat. Thank something that is not YHVH his COMP still worked...

She's a little surprised when she starts feeling better out of the blue, but it's not like she's complaining about it. On the contrary, she gives him a wide smile.

"Thank you very much! I'm... not too sure what happened there, but I appreciate it anyway," she laughed. But hearing that she was alive... that was odd.

"Then... the people around here are capable of resurrection, I take it?" Because that's the only way that it would make any sense. She died, and was taken somewhere else. There was no other way that it could've worked out.

"It's quite possible. Bringing someone back from the dead isn't an impossible art as long as you do it... quickly."

... He says this as if he knows himself. Which he does, since demons have spells akin to a Revive potion, or what-have-you.

"This is Vatheon. You're not far behind the rest of us," he says, looking at the ledge below them for some sort of clue. Mm, nothing immediately stood out. "Everyone just woke up here a few days ago, inexplicably, and exhausted." It's not that he likes her, it's that a) she's wearing a kimono, and b) he likes information, and he was bored. That's all. He didn't do things without a reason. Besides, he needed to know every aspect of his COMP was functioning to full capacity.

Not gonna bother asking about how he seemed to know about that, seeing as... well, it wasn't really her place to ask. And there's also the fact she's pretty sure she's not gonna like the answer she gets.

"Vatheon..." she echoes thoughtfully. That fails to ring any bells at all, "So it looks like we're all in the same boat, huh? And I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess that no one knows how to leave, how we got here, or who's even in charge?"

...You died?

[Miharu looked up when he heard a woman's voice and stepping out of the way when the water fell to the ground.]

[Nice reflexes, kiddo. She gives him a smile.]

Oh yeah. You're definitely talking to a zombie.

If you want.

[And despite having died, she seems to be far more preoccupied with wringing the water out of her clothes.]

[Peering over your shoulder, and watching with fascination as the water wrings itself out of her hair, dropping down the side of the building and out of sight.]

My. Just like a waterfall.

[What is with people sneaking up on her? Ever heard of personal space? But of course she can't say that, so instead she'll just be laughing.]

Tell me about it! I'm soaked.

[Smile smile~ Personal space? What kind of a concept is that he doesn't even-]

Better soaked than burnt.

Or do you differ?

I've almost been burnt once. That was crazy, the bounty should've been higher for that one.

So... I'll take soaked. Just so long as drowning doesn't go with it.
