Ed would certainly be screwed to hell and back and back to hell again even more than he already was if Al wasn't there fighting beside him. He chuckles a bit, giving his younger brother a thumbs up before clapping his hands together and sending some alchemic spikes behind Al. Every damn time he watched his back, it seemed like his own back would be uncovered.

"Thanks Al, but don't forget to watch your back, too!"

Al blinked in surprise as the sparks flew from Ed's hands and over to him. He had gotten so used to the fact that Ed couldn't use alchemy anymore that it startled him a bit when the younger version of his elder brother used it to protect him. It's a good thing he still had his alchemy too, or they would have been screwed.

He nodded and gave his brother a reassuring smile, "Right!" That being said, he felt another presence creeping up behind him so he quickly squatted down just as a sword was swiped horizontally overhead. One second later and that blade would have made contact with Al's neck and then it would have all been over. There certainly were some disadvantages with having a flesh body as opposed to one of armor and steal. Al quickly swung his leg around, knocking the pirate's legs out from under him and causing him to topple over. These guys just kept coming!

They'll thank whatever was the cause of this later. Right now, there was a bigger issue to deal with.

He smirked back to Al before kicking a pirate in the side. However, seeing how close his younger brother had gotten to death... Goodbye smirk, hello transmuted fist to the pirate's back. Damn, why did these guys never stop coming!

Al let out a sigh of relief, glad that he had ducked down when he did and thankful for his brother's earth fist. But there wasn't time for thank-yous or moments to relax. Al quickly transmuted a spear from the ground and made his way over to Ed so that they were standing back to back as the pirates surrounded them.

"Just like old times, huh brother?" he snerked while positioning himself with his spear, ready and waiting for the pirates to make their move.

Winry was returning home from her shop when she saw the ghost pirates. They started to swarm her, but she threw one of her wrenches at one with enough force to destroy it. Running by it, she picked up her wrench and took off running.

I hope Ed and Al are okay she couldn't help but to think, as she continued running. She knew that with danger like this swarming around them, that those two would be right in the middle of it all. As she continued to run, she could see that the pirates were chasing her.

You know them all too well, Winry. Just as predicted, the brothers were right in the thick of it, fighting like their lives depended on it. Which they were, but not just theirs. Though, he had to laugh a bit when a pirate tried cutting off his right hand half-way through his lower arm. "Want to play dirty, huh..."

Metal foot to the face, then. It was then he noticed Winry was being chased. ...Oi, she was almost as much of a trouble magnet as they were! He claps his hands before slamming them onto the ground, alchemic sparks and blue electrical light shooting a path to the pirates behind their friend and creating a wall that began curling up on them. "Al! Get Winry!"

Now he was creating a lance, determined to fend off the pirates. Somewhere over the racket, a safehouse was being announced.

Al had his hands full with some pirates of his own, but at the mention of their childhood friend in danger he quickly ups his movements and uses his alchemy to raise the ground beneath his feet so that he can jump over the group of pirates surrounding him and over towards Winry.

"I'm on it!" he calls out as he races over to Winry's side. "Are you alright, Winry!?"

Of course she does, Edward. She was completely unaware of them until she heard Ed's voice. One of them swiped at her, but she moved quickly and hit it in the head with her wrench. She stares as it crumbled up and died but she continued moving. Her arm hurt from where the sword had grazed her. What was the matter with this place!

"ED! AL!" She screamed as she started running towards them. She breathed a sigh of relief as Al ran to her side. "Yeah. Watch out Ed, you idiot!" She couldn't help but to call at him, even though she knew that he could fight. Still, these things seemed to everywhere.

It had been such a pain since he'd come here. He'd thought it wasn't terrible. But now, there were zombie... ghost... pirate... things everywhere.

... But they were crispy by the time he was done with them! Snap after snap sent pirates flying every which way and setting these things on fire. Ah, but it was exacted with precision! It was the alchemist skill.

A familiar flash of blue light caused him to stop. An alchemist! Not one he recognized, but an alchemist! Someone else from his time! Roy snapped his fingers once more, exploding a few more pirates before smirking. "Need some help, kid?"

Ed was thanking Al one moment, then feeling the heat of a certain colonel's flames explode nearby. He recognized that burning scent and nearly laughed, creating a lance to help protect himself.

"Hey, Colonel. I'd reintroduce you to my brother, but we're a little busy at the moment." Oh, the hilarity. Guess proper meet and greet would have to wait a bit. ... He was going to get scolded for it later, but earh spikes to pirate face was a bit more alluring.

Al's eyes widened upon hearing a familiar voice, and then even more with the familiar snap and burn effect that singed the pirates gathered around him. He thought for a moment maybe he was seeing things, but the voice of his brother calling out the familiar title of 'Colonel' woke him up. Al turned, searching for the older, raven haired man he and his brother both new so very well. Upon spotting him he smiled out and waved shortly before having to stop and take that hand to punch another pirate in the face.

Bad timing seemed to follow the brothers around like the plague, but it was good to have another alchemist on hand to help none the less!

The man smirked a moment, watching the two boys worked. ... Reintroduce? ... So, this was... His smirk widened into a small smile, which he nodded. "Always with these inconvenient times. You have some nerve having me meet your brother like this," he commented towards Ed, shaking his head.

He snapped again, igniting more of these dumb pirates. Hmph. "Well, Alphonse, welcome back, so to speak. I'm glad to see you're looking well."

Kariya watches the two kids as they fight. Damn, they're pretty good. Still, nobody can take on so many pirates at the same time. Still, it seems like they're handling themselves well, so Kariya doesn't bother with stepping in too much. He leans against a nearby wall, making sure the area is clear of the pirates, but he does send an occasional blast of energy for one or two of the pirates they missed. No need to worry yet.

"You kids okay?" he calls out, smirking just a tiny bit. This was actually pretty fun.

Edward notices those blasts, looking up to see the Reaper before jumping out of the way of a sword being swung at him and clapping his hands and transmuting a blade onto his arm and cutting another in the face with it. They have it pretty well under control, but a another pair of eyes wouldn't be so bad.

"Oh yeah, just fine." is the response given before turning his attention back on the ghosts. Damn. Can't get a break at all, can they?

Al caught sight of the energy blasts as well. That was certainly something different! As to be expected from people of other worlds. He quickly transmuted a spear like rod from the ground and swung it horizontally at a group of pirates knocking them over and slicing them through.

"We're doing fine," he chirped as he smiled over to the mysterious man leaning against the wall, "but thanks for your help!"
