It is amazing to me how I can turn out papers for my classes at the last minute. I need to develop better habits, because i tend to wait until the last minute. Unfortunately it is when the time crunch hits that I am actually able to come p with an idea. The downside of this is thawt I FINALLY have an idea, but not enough time to put in the work

Speaking for myself, I had the same capability and the same tendency to abuse it. (Except that in my case it didn’t come from a slowness in getting ideas, it was plain laziness.) It’s a good talent to have, and at the same time you’re absolutely right in wanting to move past it, put the same capacities to better use.
