I've been a vegetarian for over a year. During the past months, however, I've been giving a lot of thought to my decision and the whole topic of (not) eating meat. This is difficult; I've identified as a meat-eater, but only because you included fish and poultry.

I don't eat mammals but I do eat fish, mostly for the sake of my health. Most fish live in natural environments (and even if man never sees them they do not die of old age. Their ecology effectively makes that impossible.)

Actually, since writing this post, I've included fish back in my diet as well. It brings a certain ambiguity to labeling my dietary choices. I feel I am a vegetarian - most of the time. On the sporadic occasion that I eat fish, I enter a realm between vegetarianism and "meat-eating", limbo if you will. I know there are many people who would wield the axe right here and tell me I'm not a real vegetarian. Perhaps not by definition, but definitely by repeated demonstration.

I'm not a vegitarian, but I don't eat a lot of meat and what I do eat, I try to buy what has been responsibly raised.

I think that's a very good choice. I eat fish nowadays but only occasionally.
