Wonderful blog, Jane. I laugh that there are more than 2 people in that love scene! I never thought of it that way, but it's so true. The hero and heroine aren't just pleasing each other, they're trying communicate a whole bunch of stuff to the reader, too. It's more than just sex, there's relationship growth, moving the plot forward, even character growth. And writing all that is hard work! Great job!

Jane, I enjoyed your blog post. And I've had the pleasure of meeting of meeting Lucienne Diver, she's a true gem who I totally respect. I honed in on your comment that you, "Trust your instincts." I think it's so important for a writer to do that, believe in thier muse and move forward. Your instincts drive your voice, your passion for your story. My sincere best to you and I wish you every success. Happy holidays!

Thanks for the comment and holiday wishes (back at you!), Diane. I think we're both blessed and cursed with an overload of writing resources--it makes your head spin after a while! But ultimately it comes down to you, the keyboard, and listening to whatever it is your head that compels you to write.
Jane, you make me laugh with Lucienne being in the metaphorical bed, too!
Thankfully my muse and keyboard are calling me these days, too. Sometimes I do admit she disappears. And I can usually tell on a reread exactly where she flew the coop.
-although I do like this definition of erotica vs. pornography: if it takes two hands to hold the book, it’s erotica.
Hahahahaha, Jane! Now I understand!!

And now I can think about where I want the scenes to go, rather than where they "should" go... THANK YOU!
