Greece - Day Two

Up in time to see the sun rise over the Temple of Olympian Zeus and to catch a half-day tour of Athens.  We started at the new Olympic Stadium (only a little over 100 years old) and went past Parliament and the beautiful university but had to take pics from the bus with varying amounts of success.

I haven't been on in a week, so I'm reading all these posts backwards, but I just wanted to say thanks for the virtual tour of ancient history!

I remember six years ago I was planning a trip to Europe and kept telling my friends I was going to write poetry about what I saw to develop my descriptive prowess. Finally a friend of mine shoved a camera at me. "Here's mine! Take pictures!" I'm really glad I did.
