Inspired by a list of all the chivalrous Epic Love-related stuff that Kalinda has done that teamsharma wrote on a sweetjamielee blog entry.

( It starts with Eli. He corners her one day and insists that she needs to persuade Kalinda to work for him again. She asks him what on earth he’s talking about, and they spar back and forth for a while, not really getting anywhere, until he blurts out that Kalinda always refuses to work for Peter. )

*sniff* This is gorgeous! And what takes place here *needs* to happen on the show in some way, because Alicia needs to find out that it was not guilt!

God it *so* needs to happen. The building up of Kalinda's like/then affection/then total true love is one of the most sustained, subtle, lovely and long-term plots on the show. Surely they're going to use all of the delicious pay-off that they'd get from Alicia figuring it all out? Surely!

AGHHH. My heart just exploded. I love the ending because you still kept it subtle. I was scared that there was going to be a grand declaration of love but you kept it totally IC.

Glad you liked! I'm in favor of grand declarations of love, but I think Alicia's natural instinct would be to be very kind to K if she found out about the massive love, and that would involve careful handling. (Ahem. That sounded...you know what I meant.)

I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR KEEPING ALICIA IN THE DARK CANON. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT. Like you say, all the groundwork has been done...so let's get to the good part! The look on Alicia's face! The awkward adorableness!
