I'm really pleased you thought Kalinda was in character - girls a bit of a nightmare to second-guess sometimes...No sequel plans right now, but I will take begging under advisement!

The dialog is especially great. I can totally hear them say that and that doesn't happen often.

I also love how you underlined their differences without making them issues. They are complementary in so many ways, these two. Gah!

Thanks! Really good to hear you thought the dialogue sounded like them, K in particular has such a distinctive way of talking (and not talking). And I think their differences are why they like each other so much - they admire the qualities in each other that they know they don't have themselves. They fill in each other's gaps, if you will.

I do have one more story almost done that just needs polishing - afraid this one is post ham-sandwichgate though. The working title is The Snugglefic though, so it's not hugely angsty!

K in particular has such a distinctive way of talking (and not talking)
Very very definitely. Most of the characters on the show are recognizable by their dialog but no one as much as Kalinda. They really keep her "voice" as distinctive as possible. And the silences! I fully credit Archie for that. She can put so much meaning in a silence or a look.

awww I love how you put it. Yep, a good old Yin-Yang, these two. So fascinating. And not in any "opposite attracts" tv cliche way either.

LOVED this. Shouldn't be any concerns about not getting that illusive Kalinda down pat here. Cause you did. Awesome thought processes revealed, with Kalinda gingerly doing her "Alicia-whisperer" on her, not making her skittish, constantly gauging the best approach or response.

But not because she just wants to get laid, cause she wants Alicia free and feeling - and to be the one to do that for her. Just... yum.

Yep. This is a keeper. :) One of my favorites.

While I'm pouting that you have no plans to let us see Kalinda open that door (!), I'm a bit mollified that you're working on something else. Looking forward to it.

Sorry about the tongue-swallowing! Glad you wanted more though...and I love the phrase "Alicia-whisperer". Nine Hours was definitely my favorite example of this - K's kind of completely straightforward and Kalinda-like (shut up! shut up!) but also adorably supportive at the same time, and just wants Alicia to be happy and successful...aww.
