Yesterday I went out and bought the velvet trim after work. They only had 8,2 m of the thicker one (I needed 8 so pheew) so I got that and 2 meters of the slightly thinner one. Together with a velvet rose for the hat that came down to €44 ( Read more... )

I'm supposed to know what the proper word for those is, but I can't for the life of me remember right now.

Do you mind my asking how you do them? They are really great! And I've recently started a blog of my own for an 18th century reproduction project I'm starting in Sept as part of my MA in history of dress - I would love to have pages of that type on it!

I have a question as well - do you have any problems using material from books on here? Do you have to copyright permission or anything to reproduce the Patterns of Fashion and Costume in Detail, etc pages? It so happens I am taking a lot from those resoures as well and would like to have such visuals up on my blog.
