This year was the big 3-0 for me. Several times in the last year I've ranted and raved a bit about how our family is lame and we don't make a big deal about birthdays. That sounds so, so, so lovely! It reminds me of my birthday last year, when we were traveling from Memphis to Portland, and it just so happened that we hit San Francisco for my birthday, as I'd hoped. We met up with c-pie and nom, and the day was so freaking awesome, I will never, ever forget it. It's great when this kind of thing happens!
