I'm bogged down in cleaning, packing, and going to sayonara parties at the moment. But last week when I was chilling and only thinking of packing/cleaning/sayonara partying I decided to get something off my want-to-do list for here in Tahara and that was go paragliding. It was really really cool. I was lucky to have a friend both willing to go and translate. Although it's probably good I understand basic Japanese or he might not have taken me up.

Haha, thanks! It didn't seem that scary to me since there was no falling involved - just floating on the wind. Even the landing which I thought would involved running and would be harder was very soft and easy.

I occasionally have issues with our port bridge...ain't no way in Hades, I could handle being suspended over land. (although I am a roller coaster junkie--go figure...)

still, IMHO, braver chica than I.

Thanks! It felt very secure. I was only nervous when we landed but that was very soft and easy too.

WOW... that is nuts! I would NEVER be able to do that... I'd have vertigo so bad my head would spin! Props to you for doing it.

Actually I am afraid of heights too but only in certain circumstances - in tall buildings or on the edges of cliffs - anytime I might fall or feel the urge to jump. But this felt very secure and it was very smooth so it was no problem.
