What program do you use? I use Paint Shop Pro and I'm always trying to figure out how to change the image color - like you did on #7, in particular. Tips? :)

I use photoshop 7, so I'm not sure how interchangeable it is, but I use gradients, set at soft light or lighten, or whatever catches my attention. icon_tutorial has tutorials for paint shop, though. And I recommend colorfilter for a good place to start looking for color filters/textures.
