The music- with both its volume and its style- startled Firo as he entered the bar. And people said Jazz and Swing would have a bad influence on kids? He walked over to Desmond and waved. "'Ey. Desmond, right? I think I met ya when ya were little. ...Innarestin' place here"

A lot of what Desmond remembered from being small again was vague, almost like a dream apart from having a great time with Leonardo but something in that voice sounded familiar enough.

"Yeah," he paused and tried to think back for a name, "Firo?" Hopefully he'd managed to get the name right. "And thanks, hopefully once more people show up we'll get the really good music going."

"Yeah!" He smiled, happy to be remembered with the correct pronunciation and everything. "You've certainly changed a lot, I barely recognized ya."

"...I have da feelin' dat we have wildly different ideas of good music. Is dis stuff normal back where ya live?"

If only Firo really knew; as a kid Desmond had been a hell of a lot more cheerful and energetic and good at things he needed to be good at. Maybe he'd managed to retain a few things.

"It depends on who you ask. Some people think this is normal, some people don't. Music is varied, we don't have like eras of certain styles dominating everything."

When did La Volpe get through the front doors of the new bar? No one knows. Perhaps he came in with a group. The old fox stood hidden in the shadows of the new bar, his violet eyes peering at Desmond. The boy... his resemblance to Ezio was...

Uncanny.

A few moments passed before there was a "Hello, Desmond."

Volpe appeared at the farthest end of the bar, his hand folded neatly in front of him, and his trademark fox-like grin present on what could be seen of his face.

Desmond had to do a double take - it wasn't every day you had La Volpe in your bar. For the moment he remained where he was because he didn't quite trust the mysterious man and his penchant for having people race around after him but he smiled and nodded.

"Hey, La Volpe." And man, did that sound weird to say aloud. "Can I get you anything to drink?"

Don't be afraid of him, Desmond. He won't bite.

"A glass of wine, please."

At this rate he was going to have to ask for a few basic lessons in wine because if Italians were drinking it, he wanted to at least have something good in.

"Red or white?"

For Chane the experience of mostly forgetting a whole week was, unsettling. She had been wandering around near the shopping district and had been drawn into the bar by the strange, to her at least, music. Chane knew that she should be doing something with herself, but just couldn't think of what. A job maybe, but what? Taking a seat at the bar she sat and waited patiently.

Once he caught sight of Chane, he made his way across, smiling at her. "Hey, I'm Desmond, what can I get for you?"

He left out the name of the bar for now just in case she hadn't caught it after the comments he'd received about it from others.

My name is Chane, she wrote. I would like some prosecco if you have any, preferably dry.

Well...that was something you didn't see every day but he just nodded.

"Nice to meet you Chane, I'll go check for that." Ducking down, he peered through the various bottles he'd been stocking up on, checking the names and making a note to himself to get a little torch to make this whole process a little easier before, miracle of miracles, he actually found it. With a grin that possibly looked a little out of place for such a seemingly easy task, he poured a glass for her and set it down. "There you go."

When did Volpe appear next to Shaun? No one knows. But do have a Volpe swirling his wine around in his glass, sitting next to Shaun.

"So you were the adorable little boy who was gushing over my wardrobe, hmn?"

"Including the wrong century, my boy? Hehheh. You must have quite a handful when you were younger." Volpe chuckled.

And here comes Ezio, modern-clad with his shirt unbuttoned, and tight-ass jeans on. Yes, he looked like a total douche absolutely suited for this place now. The first thing he did was stare at everyone in the bar, sad to see that most of them were men--though there were obviously a few men he wasn't disappointed to see. One of them, of course, being Desmond.

He strolled on over to the bar and flopped his hot Italian self down, propping an elbow on the top. "Ciao, principessa." he teased lightly, "You're doing well I see. Though we seem to be lacking women."

Eyeroll for you Ezio. Trust you to come in and piss in his cornflakes. Just kidding but you either drop the principessa routine or you're getting something horrible in your drink.

"Hey to you too." He grumbled, wiping down the bar. "I can't help it if there are more guys on the island than there are women, at least when it comes to the legal drinking age. So do you want a drink or are you just here to make fun of me?"

He's not actually just being bitchy and a smartass. He's actually nervous. He's never a bar on his own before and if he's going to fail at the one thing he's good at, it'll be in front of someone who'll laugh. Which would be Ezio.

You mad Des?

Ezio was actually just teasing the man, he could more or less tell this wasn't an easy job, as fun as it looked to be hanging around so much alcohol. He propped his chin in an open palm, waving the other a bit dismissively, "What is your specialty, Desmond? I hope it's something strong. How about you surprise me?" He won't be impressed if it's some girly shit. DON'T DO IT, DESMOND.

"I've made my speciality way too often lately, I'll make you something different instead."

So for the next several minutes Desmond was pretty occupied with making the cocktail, probably showing off with the shaker but whatever, his bar, his rules before he presented the drink to Ezio with a smirk.

"It's called a Moscow Mule. Enjoy it."

And look Ezio, not a cocktail umbrella in sight.
