Kenji took a seat down beside him and dropped his tray onto the tabletop. The foods he'd chosen were practically flooding over the edges of his plates. There was lots of ramen and soba noodles piled ontop of a piece of pepperoni pizza. He'd surrounded it with rolls and fried chicken and crab tempura, all with a large chocolate milkshake to drink.
This place was heaven. If they never went back to Iwatodai, that was fine with him!
His little sister would have been so jealous!
"Aaah, I dunno what to eat first!" He laughed, finally deciding on stuffing his mouth with the pizza, grinning back at Kazushi. "Haa, let's stay here foreverrrr!"
Russia was still surprised by the huge selection of food this place had, but he grabbed some solyanka and headed over to where he saw two familiar children.
"I see you're working on eating all the food here Kenji."
Kenji blinked up at Russia steadily, his grin widening at that. "YES!" He laughed, stuffing a big bite of tempura into his mouth, "You eating too, Ivan?"
He couldn't identify whatever it was that he'd picked up...
Sam's still wary, but a room full of teenagers and little kids couldn't be too dangerous, right? And they didn't seem to know why they were there either. He'd wandered in cautiously, keeping his head down, trying to take in all the people. They seemed relaxed. So he picked up a few things he trusted--rolls, chicken leg, green beans--comfort food. Because he might as well try to be comfortable.
He sat down by himself, looking at his housemates out of the corner of his eye, and ate.
Kenji glanced over at the new arrival, idly picking at his teeth with his greasy wooden chopsticks. Was that guy looking at them? "... Why's that guy sitting all by himself?"
He nudged Kazushi hard in the side, nodding off towards the solitary man. He didn't have nearly as much food as they did.
Stretching out his neck a little to make out some of his chosen meal, he couldn't help but wince. Green beans? Ick.
Sam looked up from his beans, saw the boy looking at him in confusion, and immediately looked away, embarrassed. "Damnit,Sam Merlotte," he thought to himself angrily. "You're a grown damn man. Why are you afraid of them? And why do you care if they're looking?"
He cleared his throat and turned back to them fully. "Uh, hi there," he said. Now what? "...Do you, uh...like rolls?" He said cautiously, holding an extra one up. "This is high school all over again," he thought bitterly. Damnit--where was Bill? At least he was familiar.
Kazushi smiled at the man. He looked pretty sad, and it wasn't often that he saw sad grown ups. He swung his legs out of the chair and went back up to the food tables. Maybe the reason he had green beans was because he hadn't seen the ice cream? So he got a bowl of chocolate (because everyone likes chocolate, right?) and brought it to the stranger's table.
"Here! This is for you! I saw you looked a little sad and ice cream will make you happy!"
