After they all got inside, things calmed down quickly. Max and Tara fussed over the kids for a moment, but they'd already all been in bed when this whole thing had started, so that was what they went back to now. Big things had happened, and everyone was affected to some degree, but there was nothing to do but sleep, right now.

Bod was pretending in Marshall's room again, just for a moment, and Kate was laying on her back in her bed, staring up at the ceiling. It was dark, so she couldn't even really see it, but that was okay. Not like there was much there to see. And really, she was looking inwards, anyway. Not that there was much to see there, either. Everything was all jumbled.

For half a moment, Bod almost wondered if he should stay in Marshall's room so Kate could have some time alone. He didn't know exactly what had happened outside with her but it was a little concerning.

After that half a moment, he knew he was being ridiculous and presuming he knew what she wanted so, when he was sure it was safe, he gave Marshall a wave and headed the short distance to Kate's room.

He slipped in and, this time, remembered to close the door behind him. "Kate?"

Kate waved a hand at him, not exactly sure he'd see it in the darkness, but not really caring either.

"Present," she replied quietly, sounding tired.

She didn't want to be alone. The little time she'd spent like that right then had already proved it. It didn't work out well for her mind.

Bod saw something so he made his way over to her bed, slipping in the spot he'd recently vacated when they'd headed outside to see what had happened.

"Were you asleep?" he asked quietly.
