Thursday night canasta was J's idea, and she "forgot" us. This is just one of the reasons I detest TRT---she shows up and J turns into someone else, a dismissive, inconsiderate someone else. And that's not what she's like, otherwise.

Just the fact of eating in front of others without offering some is extremely rude and ill-mannered. She should have stepped in since it is her house.

Okay, so it's not just me being over-sensitive. Good.

I went home and made myself bacon mac-and-cheese and watched Person of Interest. Not as lively as a good game of cards, but it calmed me down. Yay, carbs!

NO you aren't being over-sensitive. I beg people to eat when they come into my home. It may be pot luck but you never eat in front of people like that~ Manners 101.
Stuff like that really ticks me off especially if you were invited guests.

If it had just been me, I would've said, "Okay, see ya!" as soon as J said TRT was coming over. But Mb has had a rough week, she really needed a diversion, and J knew that. I think I'm more mad on Mb's behalf than I am on my own.

That is some extrordinarily bad manners on the parts of TRT and J. They both need to be smacked uplongside the head with a wet flounder. >:(

I wasn't sure if it was just me, because I have entitlement issues sometimes. And because I don't like TRT, I thought that might've clouded my reaction. And I'm still not sure what I'm going to say to J the next time we talk.

I know J is frugal and works to make things last, but Mb and I have often brought (and left!) munchies, so it's not like we make a habit of eating her out of house and home.
