I want to go thru the wormhole to the AU where my life isn't ALL FUCKED UP

Aug 20, 2012 17:38

It took less than 24 hours after my return home for me to be reduced to a melting lump of misery.

Thank god for Mb, who has invited me to stay with her for a few days. For that, I will even put up with her flea-bitten cats!

Just a few more weeks until the heat *should* ease off. (Please, god....)

.

mb, heat

Do you have AC and just choose not to run it or do you not have AC at all?

I have a window unit that hasn't been in use since 2010. I'm not even sure if it still works. And even if it does, I'm barely paying FPL as it is.

You should look into the budget billing~ I changed over a couple of years ago. Bill is basically the same year round so I can budget easier. It would be nice to pay less in Spring and Fall but it makes up for it in summer.

I have looked into it. I don't qualify for a variety of reasons.

I'll try not to be smug about the fog I had to bike through this AM. Seriously thought...I just could never live in some place that was regularly that hot and humid. I still bitch when the cold gets too cold for my thin San Francisco blood, (and when it gets too hot during our one week of heat-wave, where it MIGHT hit 95), but that kind of humidity is just one giant DNW!

Yeah, and I'll bet when it's 95 there, it only feels like 95--- instead of here, with the humidity makes it feel like 105. Right now, a ice chilly fog sounds wonderful!

It feels like it's 95, but we whine likes it's 105.
