I've never been keen on ff.net mostly because I hated the desigb with a passion. I find A03 has a much "cleaner" look - though I still have to upload my fic there, and it has been terribly slow recently. *G*
I hope next week is better for you than this one. Onwards amd upwards!
FF.net is where I started out when I was a n00b to organized fandom. Not that I'm in much deeper these days. There and here and AO3. Never been to any cons, don't track star tweets r rewatch anything obsessively---really, I'm fairly mild as fangirls go....
I think the only reason I never really used it is that I came through lists and posting stories to list archives or list websites and never really made the jump to FF.net.
Also whenever I've searched for fic there I've never found particularly good stuff. Mostly I suspect because I found the interface cluttered and messy and because I was getting more than enough good stuff first on list and then later when people moved to LJ.
The one thing I really like about A03 - even though some of the tagging and searching can give, um, idiosyncratic results - the all the white space and clarity of the interface and reading pages. That and the fact that it is just so damn easy to download stuff.
I never managed to get into posting on FF.Net....now I'm glad I didn't.
My sleep schedule is back to being buggered up; I'm never quite sure of what day it is unless I check my phone. I hate it, but sleeping during the day is more bearable than being awake for it. Lots of cold showers either way.
Insomnia? Or is it from the heat? Over here, I had a couple bad nights, til I remembered that exercise helps me sleep while on vacation. Now I'm trying to Zumba every day, and it's helping so far. Whew!
Meh, I had a terrible night last night myself. On the plus side, I eventually gave up trying to sleep and managed instead to write the first part of an Avengers Loki/Jane (eventually BDSM) fic, so....I guess it wasn't all bad. ;)
I need to get more active. Alas, I can't afford to join anywhere that would have a/c.
Hm. I sometimes found that jogging was a good (and cheap!) activity to do. You have to work up to it (probably start with 10 mins, max), and it's gonna hurt like hell for the first few days, but then it gets easier. Slap on the mp3 player and you're good to go!
I'm glad to hear you're writing again. I haven't seen Avengers yet, and the only origin movies I've seen are the Tron Man franchise (but wwell-written BDSM is always fun).

My nest task is to get my own fic up there. *G*
