Mid-weekend

Spent last evening at J's. Was introduced to Whipped Cream vodka (by Pinnacle), which is like a high-test root beer float when mixed with A&W. (Don't knock it til you've tried it!) Also meat-lover's pizza. Followed by a hand of canasta, followed by me going OH SHIT when I realized my dishes were still in the carton in my trunk

Go, you! Yay!

I seem to spend a lot of time cleaning even though we're currently between houses. We're trying to be good house-guests of the friend who's putting us up, so I sweep, mop, scour the kitchen and bathroom and do the laundry. With four dogs coming and going through the kitchen, it sometimes feels like pushing a large rock uphill. :D

I'm well acquainted with that particular boulder. I seems like as soon as one thing gets done, something else topples over. While I'm trying to get that squared away, three more things get out of control, and so on.

I didn't realize you were out of your old place already. Tweaking the new place? It has great bones, I'm sure it'll be lovely!

We're waiting to close on the new place, which will June 11. We'll move in on June 12th and start tweaking the next day. :) My friend who's putting us up has a big house and is not home all that much, so we're looking after her two dogs and cat along with our crew. The cats don't care for each other much, but the dogs are getting along great and Rosie's learning how to act like a dog, not a brat. :D
