GK has confirmed that she'll be down in June for our HS reunion...and BC's memorial service. Her hub and the Things will be along for the first part of it, but they'll be leaving on Tuesday and she'll return on Thursday, so I'll have her to myself for a little while. How many years since graduation? I hadn't been to any of mine until the 30th came along. It was nice to see a few people that I had been curious about but since I moved here in the middle of my sophomore year, I didn't have a ton of friends.
I felt like it was sort of expensive as well~ over $60 for a dinner that was buffet style hotel food. I am not a drinker but even if I was, you had to pay separately for alcohol. Music was OK but overall, I wouldn't do it again.

I'm from the Class of '79. The overall reunion is for the Class of '82, but on Friday night, they're doing an "open house" for all CHS grads at Fish Lips at the Port. Come, hang out, buy your own food and drink, see if there's anyone there that you know. I'm really looking forward to it. Can you tell?

That's reasonable~ not having a set price and letting everyone do their own thing.
You should have a good time.

I do hope you will have good time there. I gained ONE friend from primary school years (and since then we drifted apart, and now she has moved out of the country), and one in HS level - OurLady. All the others (the few I have) have appeared later. So nowadays reunions sound hollow to me. I was never popular, absolutely on the other end of the spectre actually, and thus... it would sort of be like willingly going back to see the guards of Auschwitz...

I went to my 10-year HS reunion, and it reminded me why I'd hated HS. Didn't have a lot of friends in my year---they were mostly older or younger---but this shindig is for all classes, and I know for sure I'll know a few people, so I'm going to give it a try.
