Or shop online....

Right now, I'm all fizzy with happiness. A couple hours ago, I discovered that today is the last day of Lane Bryant's "Buy 2, get 2 free" bra sale. Mind you, this is Lane Bryant we're talking about; their bras are not cheap. The kind I favor are $28 a pop, so I was looking at a minimum of $56 ( Read more... )

I got measured last month, which really makes a difference. Otherwise, I tend to think of myself as whatever the last size was that I got---which these days would be six inches and two cup sizes TOO BIG.

They have their bra sale semi-annually, so sock away a few bucks and get measured in time for the summer sale. Or maybe you and Caelie could get two apiece and share the benefits. Just a thought!

I hear ya. Mb is almost a head shorter than me, but she's got way more in the way of boobage, even after having a reduction.

And I think it's a hoot than you were answering my post while I was answering yours!

That's a great deal. Shopping for bras can be torture. I just did it recently myself and was lucky to get mine on sale too but no where near as good a deal as you got.

Yeah, considering a mediocre JMS bra runs around $15, I'm thrilled. Cacique (Lane Bryant's brand) is the Cadillac of bras, as far as I'm concerned. I've got a couple that I've had for years---they're tough!---but they're going grey and getting stretched out, so it was TIME.

That's the most awesome bra deal ever! And there is nothing makes a girl feel prettier than new bras; they lift the spirit along with the boobies. :)

Definite fabulousity. I was halfway tempted to get four more, but I thought that *might* be getting carried away. And besides, I know fromexperience that these things wear like iron; I'd feel awful if they were barely used and too big for me. (Big is good, but I'd like to get a reasonable amount of use out of them first!)

Sigh! I'm in such need of good bras. At this point, I'm mostly wearing jog-bras and that's just when I'm doing the bike ride. Then I sweat through it along with two or three other layers and it's done for the day.

I could use a sports bra, because I have at least one top with a neckline that demands it. At this point, what I really need is a tummy shrinker. I've got a Buddha belly---otherwise I'd be in bottoms a size smaller.

Mb and I are talking about walking together. We're both trying to drop some weight. Me out of vanity, her for her health.

Do the walking. Start with a block if you have to. Even if yours is pure vanity, there's a health implication too. You have to keep moving, no matter how slowly.

I own the vanity. The whole "I'd like to see a size 16 again before I die" philosophy is there---although I'm still pleased at maintaining under 300 for the last couple months.

That said, I'm not getting any younger. Two members of my immediate family died in their 50s. I'd rather not, but sitting on my ass isn't the way to longevity. Hence, walking.
