I've been stressed about a bunch of stuff over the last few days, which I haven't posted about because for one thing, weekend. Why cast a shadow over other people's weekends when it's nothing they can do anything about. Mondays, on the other hand, are generally crap, so why NOT post about all this crappy stuff ( Read more... )

I'm glad it's not just me. Sometimes it's hard not to fall into the trap of, "Poor me, nobody loves me, nobody else has to deal with all this STUFF". And rationally, I KNOW that's not true and I have it better than a lot of people, but at times I want to hide in my closet and suck my thumb. Which is ridiculous, since I'd be damned uncomfortable in there and sooner or later, I'd have to get up to go pee, and I don't do floors well anymore.

There is a widely touted recent study that drugs do just as well as stents for people with most blockages. Not that I'm defending the hospital because the local one has earned my ever-lasting scorn for how it mistreated my mother on numerous ER visits, but there is some basis in it. And if Mb doesn't have to take blood-thinners (they're required for a year after a stent), she will be much happier.

Having witnessed the wank over Coumadin with Kat AND Ahab, I'm glad to see her spared that. I just worry that, because she's already on a variety of meds, that it'll be one more potentially harmful interaction. And lately I've been feeling horribly like I know more dead people than live ones, and I hate it, I really do.

I've been looking at swimming pools in the Wal-Mart flyer for the last month, trying to figure out how to send you one. Unfortunately I'm in the same financial bind as you are.... woe. :P

Yeah. These people who say "Money isn't important" just baffle me. OF COURSE it's important. But hey, if they really think so, they can give us theirs, right?

I know that theoretically, it's supposed to mean that character is more important, that things like ideals and family and peace are more important, but when lack of money means bad things happen, I'm not so sure.
