That's not necessarily a BAD thing. It means you've still got quite a lot of time to carry out your plans in. For me, the punchline is "really old, like thirty." (Oh, to be thirty again...!) Whereas, I'm at the stage where my very long "To Do" list has had so many erasures, crossouts and amendments, that sometimes it's a little hard to figure out what the remaining possibilities are....
At one point, I was thinking of doing a diorama/miniature/dollhouse room for her...I've had this room in my head for a few years, it's just easier and cheaper to write it. Nearly instant gratification.
She's a meld of who I was at ten and who I wish I'd been. Yes to the horse books* (and figurines and posters), no to the ribbons and trophies. I've never actually owned a horse; I've ridden maybe a dozen times in my life, and that includes the pony rides where someone else led the horsie in a circle for twenty minutes.
Although, even in those days, I don't think I ever planned to make a career of horses. I was going to write books and be an Egyptologist....
* Damn, I forgot to mention Walter Farley! How could I forget The Black Stallion?! Or the "Bonnie" books. Or---

I... don't think I could write my inner child. Possibly because I am, you know, still a teenager.

I'm not sure whether I have an inner child. I tend to wear my childishness right on my sleeve. :-P
