I commented before, but this is worth another squee! Dean on a motorcycle! Sam with pneumonia! Boys digging graves even when there's nothing to salt-and-burn! Saving people, no matter what era and what danger lies in wait.

And AWESOME research and outside POV!! Thank you!

I'm so glad you like this so much! Yours was one of the prompts I noticed even before assignments when out and though, "I could do something with that." (I went with WWI because I have a little kink of my own when it comes to the influenza epidemic.)

The research was fun---although I think I may have spent more time on research than I did actual writing. I know I spent longer on beta and tweaking! And not one but THREE betas because I've never done anything quite so historical before and wanted it cross-checked every which way.

Have a great week!

This was really wonderful! I'm not a huge fan of AU's, but I'm a sucker for war-stories, and these boys fit so well into that lifestyle I couldn't pass up reading it :) I'm so glad I did! I loved the tension, and the happy ending. It was executed extremely well.

Thank you for sharing it!

Thanks! It's great how versatile the Winchesters are---anywhere, anytime---it's like Supernatural is the little black dress of fandoms. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for commenting!

I love your story! Your characters are recognizable as themselves even in a very different time and place.
