This year...most of you have been around for it. I've been out of work the whole time. Kat passed away in February. S is a mess; prescription drug abuse isn't pretty. (However, I have been enticed into schnauzer-sitting for her when she and T go to their Key West time-share in a matter of weeks

Big day is actually tomorrow, but thanks in advance!

Yeah, in my head, I'm maybe 28 (which was a really good year), and sometimes I look in the mirror and wince. (Not always. Just the days when stress and my shoulders are trying to have the last word.)

I know I've been kinda flaky this summer, and I'm sorry. I haven't crafted anything in months, my coffee table is about a foot deep in crap, and I'm praying for October and consistantly cooler temps. I'm tired of the 90s, I'm tired of the 80s---I'd like to see it drop to the low 70s and stay there.

Thank you, darlin'! Mb is being very coy about when things are happening tomorrow, but I did manage to get out of her that my usual noon brunch should've worn off by the time she hijacks me for food and frolic. Which makes sense, since most of the people on the invite list have day jobs. So I imagine I'll be around on lj til midafternoon---which is good, since I have fic to post. Comments are as good as birthday cards, IMO.

There were a few places where I had to prod myself to keep going. But like living it the first time, the only way past it is through it. That so many people came along for the ride was...interesting. It's not exactly spicy reading, but I hope there were a few good turns of phrase. Thanks for hanging in there with me!
