I am jonesing madly for Justified---if they would just release the season one DVDs, I'd sell a kidney to get them. Was about to snag Trauma (which they're billing as season one, but it's the whole damn series, okay?) today. The price on the shelf was $15, and I would have grabbed it in a heartbeat. However, it rang up at $34.95, and that was a no-can-do. I am investigating eBay and Half.com. Remember when I asked you all those questions about the Mint and the Mission? It was gonna be for a Trauma fic, which kinda stalled when it went off the air. *sigh*

Is there any aspect of the fic that could survive a transplant to another fandom?
Even if you can't completely catch up, I'd recommend last night's episode just as a Tim DeKay swoon-fest.

Only if I deleted the canon characters and wrote it as an original fic. Which I suppose I *could* do...I was writing the fandom for me but the plot for someone else, which probably makes no sense at all. I was going to kill off a friend's wicked boss...the instrument of her death? A rambunctious schnauzer who caused her fall and resultant complications. The Trauma crew was going to handle the accident, and one of them knew my protagonist (pro dog walker/doggy daycare owner), and there was going to be femme slash with her and another crew member. (How you ever seen me do femme slash? This could have been a CAYN, as well as a birthday present for the gal I was writing it for.) Meh. Maybe I can pick the series up cheap secondhand. I'm thrilled that it's on DVD at all, it came and went so fast on the air.
