Today has gone on and on. First, church. Rocked The Hat again, this time with black slacks and a black and green print top. Had CUUPs after church til about 2:30, then directly over to Kat's for the divvying of the spoils, where I was til 9-ish, then home by way of WalMart ( Read more... )

It's certainly incentive to get rid of shit! There were a few things I loved (a "leather" wing chair/recliner in particular) that I would've loved, but---no room. But I'm grateful for what I'm getting, and thinking of how much certain things will improve my quality of life---microwave, fan, blood pressure cuff---and other items prompt gentle nostalgia....

Wow! That was really generous of Kat and her kids. Counting the bed you already got, that's pretty much an apartment worth of furnishings.

GK took a few small things, and the boys laid claim to sentimental items and photographs, but the daughters-in-law, granddaughter and I got the lion's share. Granddaughter got Kat's bed, which is ultra-comfy, lots of furniture as she just turned 18 and is moving into a much bigger room. NJ made me look reticent when it came to snagging bling, and Doc'sLady was no slouch about kitchenware and linens and the like. And the local Sharing Center thrift store has gotten about three vanloads of stuff SO FAR. (More to go.)
