Canasta at Schnauzerland

The canasta party was definitely a mixed bag. It ended up being just the four of us: S, her adult daughter J, sbjb and me. We all go back 25 years or more, so it was the kind of familiarity that had us bantering insults, timing jokes for maximum spit takes and considerable off-key singing, much of it mine. I'd take your scale reading- not only because it's lower but as the day progresses, fluid is retained. Early morning and naked is the best time to weigh in---after that, it can vary from 5 lbs or more.

Yeah, that's why I got up and did it again---it was only about 10 hours later, but I suspect it was more accurate.

Btw, I won't be available Tuesday, as that's the day we'll be decorating for the FMB, beginning around 5---so let's hope the weather is nice tomorrow.

I'd also take your scale reading, especially if you're salt-sensitive because pizza is rather salty. By morning you'd probably tinkled all that sodium away.

I don't know what it would take to get your numbers in the 40s because it depends on your natural body shape and the size of your skeleton. Even when I weighed 110 pounds and wore a size four or six dress and pants, I still had a hip measurement of 36 inches because my hips and shoulders are wide for a petite person.

*nods* Nothing petite about me, especially shoulders and hips. My shoulders are wide enough that I started tearing set-in sleeves out of woven garments in high school, and I'm a true pear-shape. If I didn't have the Buddha-belly in front, it wouldn't be so bad. I'd have to lose that completely and acquire buns of steel to get 'em that small. On top, though...I was about 56" the last time I measured, and that was about 30-35 pounds ago. Oh, well---I'll just keep on keepin' on, and it'll happen when it happens.
