One down, four to go. Isn't that a helluva way to have to live one's life? I could, theoretically step off the merry-go-round...and then what? I'm not sure that there's any such thing as the "perfect" job. There's always something about a job that's less than satisfactory: the pay is shit, the hours stink, the commute sucks, the coworkers are

Hey, everybody has periods like that - when wherever you look, things loom and try to swallow you. You just hang in there and remember that some of us out here love you still - however whiteknuckled or stressed out you are. *gives another hug to accompany the first one*

*hugs back* United, we stand... I found out who the other person is who's trying for that job. I *think* I'm better qualified, since a) I've been there much longer and b) she has family issues and tends to be absent more often/leave unexpectedly more often. (On the other hand, she's calmer, so maybe that will be a factor. Don't know....)
