No smut, unfortunately for your icon, but here's my try.
Simon misses the way things used to be, when his genius sister sparkled beside him.
His parents look on with indulgent eyes, slowly growing concerned when he will not move past this childish attachment. Simon finds it hard to care. It is the duty of a son to honour his parents, but everything seems so hollow without River.
The food loses its flavour when she’s not there to taste it with him.
Later on, lying in one of Serenity’s cold, uncomfortable bunks he will remind himself of those days. He gave up everything for her. Without her, he had nothing.
Clear and still, vodka is deceptive. You look at it and it’s impossible to imagine this simple glass of water-like liquid packs such a punch. Vodka works by stealth. As a mixer it works with any drink. It sidles in the back, like some shady character in some poorly lit bar who you never notice until your wallet is gone. It works with any mood too. You can party on down with vodka, drown your sorrows in it, sip it coolly from a cocktail glass. It’s invisible, and hence able to blend in anywhere. And that's why I love it.

Well, the sad thing is that I actually don’t know that much Tenacious D. I mean, I adore Tribute, and if you don’t have that one you absolutely have to get that one. “Are you angels?” “Nay, we are but men. Rock!” Sheer class!
But that’s the one people are most likely to know so that’s not much of an endorsement. Wonderboy, I’m not actually all that keen on myself. The only other song I can think to recommend to you is Fuck Her Gently. That’s a beautiful and romantic song, well as much as the title will allow. ;)
