Today's prompt from NaPoWriMo was to write a landay, an traditional form of oral poetry spoken by women in Afghanistan.

Enclose me in the heat of your embrace
and I will start a furnace like the sun's corona.

I didn't follow today's challenge from NaPoWriMo because I became absorbed in reading about Flarf, a spin-off from yesterday's challenge. Flarf is essentially poetry composed of phrases turning up in Google searches. Today's challenge from NaPoWriMo was to write a social media poem. What I decided to do was comb my Facebook friends feed for original (by them) content and pull interesting phrases. Then I composed a piece of found poetry. Warning: contains rough and tumble sexual innuendo.

Heaven and Earth

Crush them! Crush them! Smother them blue!
I would drown them with rain for the evil they do.

A garden is a poem.
Today I bought cedar two-by-fours
built a raised bed
and filled it with Agro Mix.
Now it's empty.
Planting will take some time.
I'm too tired for words.

Near the footbridge spanning the stream, white snowdrops
burst, a cluster all alone among oak leaves
transitory, easy to miss, but never
April without them.

Through the branches grey squirrels bark their ardour,
juncos bell-like, chickadees’ mournful whistle.
When the song sparrow takes his post, he utters
sunlight elated.
