The arrival of ink_ling in Toronto this weekend gave occasion for a gathering of LJ literati. Saturday paulintoronto and bobalone hosted a delicious meal on the back porch of their home. Later as several of us cruised from bar to bar, we commented how there had been unwanted dinner guests, mosquitoes, a surprise at this time of year, and in midtown Toronto. Thank you, on so many counts, Van. And I hope you forgive me if I claim it is a special bond. :) And I volunteer next time we have a block of time to hang out to be your photo buddy, if you like. It was absolutely wonderful to share your company again and to talk a little writing, landscape, and spirit. And I am curious already to hear what you'll have to say next time round.

And hey!: Show me one of them there rocks you spoke of next time I'm up! Maybe in norther parts? :)

You're referring to Petoskey stones? Unfortunately you won't find them around here, only in Northern Michigan, but it might be worth a trip sometime!

I'd love to go on a photography excursion with you. Let's make a point of it next time we get together, whether that is. If it's in Ontario, I can take us lots of interesting places within a short drive of Toronto, or further if we have time.

I'm glad about the bond. It means a lot to me.
