What a wonderful phrase, "perilous tune" - I can't even explain why it is so perfect. When I got to the words "these rocks" I started to feel a shiver, a shock. Your choice of "these" - as opposed to any other word you might have used is brilliant. As usual, I can't exactly express why... but it is. Maybe because suddenly, the rocks come so close. They are "these" rocks, not any other, anywhere else. The shiver persists until the end and lingers on.
