This was so beautifully put together! That cliffhanger of an ending is the teaser for one intense ride in Season Ten.
I found this a very sad video - there *is* so much left unfinished in Dean's life, uh, like maybe some genuine happiness unrelated to sacrifice, or even the alien concept of inner peace? And why could he look right at an archangel being angelknifed and have it reflected in his eyes with no ill effect; they never did explain that one.
Thank you for the research, the great cutting/timing and sharing this goodie with us!
Thank you very much for your comment! Dean is such a complex character, and a really battered one for that matter. I too hope that he’ll find some kind of peace at the end. Who knows, maybe his current arch will be a way for him to reconcile with himself (I have no idea how, though XD).
Back in season 5, I thought they were foreshadowing something with that scene of Dean killing Zachariah, when he was able to look directly at the angel while his grace burst. But now I think they did it just because it looked cool :)
Thank you very much! I’m thrilled you liked the vid. Dean’s story is really tragic, isn’t it? And on top of that the poor man thinks very little of himself :(
What an utterly tragic, heartbreakingly beautiful vid. The progression of Dean shown here, leading to the end is very well done. Dean definitely has an unfinished life, he has so much more to live, to give, and to experience. This is a great tribute showcasing this wonderful character. Well done. thanks.
If even just to be in harmony again with his brother.
At this point, I think they will keep them at odds ad infinitum. The show seems to be unable to find a different way to give emotional tension to the story :(
