I'm sitting on the floor of a ferry terminal in northern Japan waiting for the ten pm sailing to Tamakomae (the ferry takes about eight hours) so we can continue with the next part of the "same bad plan we had last year"....which means being on Hokkaido for a TOTAL of 16 hours....and an eight hour ferry ride at either end of that 16 hours....

We had snow a few days ago....now everything is mud.

Eeee. I hate mud . . . but I hate mud with a lot less ferocity as I hate snow.
