Saw the new Star Wars movie. Wanted a place I could talk about my thoughts on it without risking spoilering anyone. Be warned ALL THE SPOILERS EVER behind this cut.

I can't convince you you're wrong. There were a lot of missteps in the movie. I was really disappointed with how easily Ben was able to kill Snoke, really ... weird. It should not have been that easy. Disappointed with Finn's storyline, too. It went exactly Nowhere and was just ... why? Having said all that, though, in terms of philosophically, I thought it was good. I mean, looking at The Force as its own character, I thought that was good. I like the idea of balance, that you can't be all one side with the force, it doesn't work that way. Some really good stuff there to think about and "chew on." The porgs were cute, but that's about it. The salt dogs were about the same. Cute but that's about it. But yeah, I get what you're saying about Ben. There's no explanation as to why he's so mad. We just have to take it as is. And that's unfortunate. Makes him boring.

I didn't hate it. I enjoyed it. But there were things that could have been a lot better.
